Or you need to be SE as you pass the threshold? I'm assuming the latter - but hopeful that if it's in the same year it might still count.

Thanks in advance.
I was in a similar situation earlier this year and I received the 150k bonus of 20k points plus eupgrades for the 100k & 140k threshold.

Thanks anishm - and you received the bonuses after you hit SE even though you crossed the thresholds before you were SE? Just to confirm.

Yea that is correct. The 20k bonus points for 150K SQM and the extra eupgrades came as soon as I passed 20,000 SQD.

Travellers who received in 2021 both the 50k Threshold Gift (2500 rollover SQM) and the 75k Threshold Gift (5000 rollover SQM), what did you finally obtain in January 2022: 7500 rollover SQM or just 5000 rollover SQM? Thanks a lot!

One thing I haven't found out is, does the threshold eups gift roll over? The maximum is 700 SQS/700k SQM which is physically impossible to fly in a year so can only assume this transfers over year by year or not?

I'm on track to hit 200 SQS and received the threshold gift at 150 SQS as the same week I hit that but was already an SE.

No, it resets every year.

I know someone who's getting close to 800K for this year. This is an exceptional year due to the large number of promos, but there were multiple instances of FTers doing 500K+ in a single year with little to nothing in the way of promos.

Interesting. I assume they must be doing a lot of international J class travel to rack that many SQM up, I've flown over 120 segments with AC in 2022 and only sit at 110k SQM but am at 175 SQS with this year's promotions.

They (and I) had 200k SQM rolled over through a credit card in 2021, and we flew more, and I (unsure about the person in question) did the promotion for a bonus 25k, etc.

And then all our 2021 carried over. Plus another 200k through a credit card. Plus more flying. Plus double SQM on all Q1 flights. Plus double SQM on all Q2 Europe flights (which I did not and will not take advantage of).

Now I'm sitting at 675k. I could hit 700k by crediting some LH J to AC, but there's just no point.

ok yep that makes sense. I don't put spend through my AP card to pull in those SQM numbers, it's 90% through flights and Q1s promotion.

Select SQM/SQS threshold

I have reached for 60000SQM / 60SQS when I was 50K and when I was 75K I hit 90000 SQM 90 SQS. So can I get both of threshold or I can only have the 75K threshold

Last year I got a decent amount of CC SQM, Didn't qualify through flying as my industry hadn't started again so I had a large rollover. Then more CC spend and flying resumed full tilt plus the promos I'm well north of 800k. I suspect I'll end the year very close to 1 Million SQM.

It's insane.

But expect the CC SQM train to come to a screeching halt next year. With the rules changing in the coming days such that vendors can now charge "Credit Card Processing Surcharges" expect a lot of shift in payment habits.

I just passed 250k SQM and have only $16,500 in SQD. I received an email yesterday advising that I have received a banked year of SE. I've already requalified for SE for 2023 through the $30k credit card spend. I wasn't sure if the banked year would post without me hitting the SQD, but I guess that I don't have to hit the $20k SQD.

Interesting.

There are a few different ways that this could be a glitch. But one of the possible scenarios is that one can stay as SE forever via credit card spend.
