Given the next paragraph in the article is: Canada's largest carrier is seeking to augment its presence in the region to meet high demand, particularly from Southeast Asian countries, as the area recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.’, I doubt it’s KIX.

Mainline 223 has just one more seat than the Rouge 319. An extra inch of seat pitch too.

But surely they try their best to make full use of their relatively large 223 fleet, which is much more efficient.

My YYZ-MBJ flight was changed to an earlier departure and from a 787 to an A330. Just means some extra beach time

Our next trip, 848, YYC-FRA was changed from a 789 to the good old 772. Schedule unchanged, no e-mail, no requirement to confirm that we accept the change.

My money's on BKK, but based on nothing but pure speculation.

Does SE Asia include India in their definition ?
I thought the last investor notes had HYD and SIN as a possible route.
Otherwise SE Asia - does that mean back to flying the usual suspended routes (TPE, etc) or new ones like SIN, BKK, SGN.
Does AC have the capacity - both planes and staff ?

Widebody service has been seasonal (just like the 787 nonstops from YYZ to OGG/HNL.which ended in April)

It's been variable - some winters they've had a widebody of some sort to Hawaii, some years they haven't. They have had 787s the last two years, but I think that was due to a surplus of them not being used on other international routes, and issues with the MAX.

As of now I don't think they have any scheduled widebody routes this winter, and if I had to guess, I'd say that's unlikely to change.

There is only one flight per day loaded in the schedule YVR-HNL and YVR-OGG which depart around 8 a.m up until mid Dec when the afternoon flights begin. All flights are currently listed as 7M8's Last year the evening flights were operated with 789's. The direct YYC-OGG flights begin mid Dec as well- using 7M8s. Only good thing is we get an 8 am departure getting in to OGG at 12 pm. Looks like all Hawaii flights including YVR-KOA and the two a day YVR-HNL and YVR-OGG that start in Dec are 7M8s.
Whether we will see 789s at all is a question due to the reasons stated by the poster above. Keep our fingers crossed.

Looks like YYZ/LIR is going from ACr 319 service to AC 737 Max over the Christmas holidays into new year.
Works for me.

Looks like BGI gets a late YYZ departure 3x a week. Arrives near 10pm and departs next am at 930am for YYZ B737M aircraft. 787 service still on at 830am
