Thank you for the kind offer. I am also waiting for a status bump from E50 to E75. Is that why I haven't been able to choose my 2022 benefits yet?

In my understanding, the only thing changing is the threshold gift program.
What about it is changing?

did you select benefits because of a bump of status, or was it a new selection for 2022 status?

Header of yesterday's email for me was "select your 2021 benefits" for new status through Dec 31, 2022. The 3 'new' MLL guest passes in the account (as well an unused one) show Dec 31, 2021 expiry. Have not done any benefit selection as yet. Other core benefits have been added to the account (eUps w/ Jan 2023 expiry). Makes me wonder if there will be another round of "selections" emails shortly for actual "2022 benefits." The difference in years for eUps vs guest passes is a head-scratcher for me. Typo? 🤷‍♂️

Not a typo. You selected benefits for 2021 which is why your MLL passes expire at the end of the year. eUpgrades issues in the last 2ish months of the year expire at the end of the following benefit year.

Just curious - any ideas on when 2022 benefits will be made available for selection? I can't recall what the period is for Status either...is it starting Jan 1st or some time in Feb? Thanks in advance all.

Benefit year starts Jan 1 which is roughly when you’ll be able to select your benefits.

There should be a help page for those suffering from "Delayed gratification for selecting benefits"

Some data points from the pandemic 2020 for the 2021 year:

1. See OP here 2021 AC Status Privileges thus some/many of us had selected benefits prior to.....

2. "Welcome to a new year of benefits" email from Aeroplan arrived on Jan 7 2021
.

Most frustrating not having our 2022 eUps available as in previous years, though I know someone who has January 2023 expiring eUps but he was still not able to confirm or even waitlist a Latitude award booking into business for October (granted over Thanksgiving weekend so could be AC has zero'd out J eUps on its wide body flights between YYZ-YVR-YYZ, though not even offered the option of waitlisting). I've just booked a couple of domestic April awards in Latitude but will have to await deposit of my new eUps. (Wasn't even permitted to use a January 15th 2022 expiring eUp for a flight departing January 14th, but because it's a Red Eye arriving on the 15th.)

All that said, I did Tweet AC last week and received a reply noting that the current benefit year expires at the end of January 2022, so we only begin the new benefit year February 1st. This would imply we get our elite benefits and selection sometime next month, effective only as of February 1st? Very ambiguous reply.

Irritating. You should have been able to u/g that flight.

From the eUp T&Cs: eUpgrade credits remain valid until 23:59 GMT on the expiry date noted in a member’s eUpgrade account. They can be used to request upgrades for flights departing on or before that date and time. It is not possible to request an upgrade using credits that expire prior to the departure date of the flight a member wishes to upgrade.

I thought the current benefit year expires at the end of December. Where did you see end of January? The upgrade extension to 15 January was a courtesy due to holiday travels. The lack of clear info is very frustrating.
