Any insider info as to whether this might include hot breakfast and cocktails?

This is unacceptable and has been happening on several occasions. I had the same experience when they ran out of LP on the first go around because they only loaded 2 bottles....

Same “no Champagne boarded” situation on CAI-YUL 9/14.

If they can't source enough Laurent-Perrier, then bring in another champagne brand to supplement the dwindling stock (not Prosecco or Cava). Supply was never an issue with Drappier, which was a fine champagne even if it lacked the brand awareness of LP and other houses.

Really don't know how they can call it "signature class" without proper bubbles.

They had champagne on our flight from CDG to YYZ but like I said no port.

AC800 YYZ-DUB on Sep 24th, Bottega was available instead of Laurent-Perrier (the latter was on the menu card, of course). SD confirmed that this has been an ongoing issue. Also, no creamers were available for unknown reason.

Incidentally, SS in YYZ now has Tattinger as champagne instead of Moët, with Laurent-Perrier Rosé as the second opinion. One of the cocktails however still lists Moët as an ingredient.

This leads to an entirely unconfirmed speculation that AC is trying to switch out LP for something else...

September 2022
1:15 PM departure

Haddock appetizer

Veal main course

Cheesecake with a Grand Marnier

Prearrival duck/quinoa salad (I slept right through this, but my companion snapped a photo)

Overall, not a bad meal -- service was quite good/attentive in row 1, without too much disruption from galley light/noise, as I managed to get a few hours of sleep in after generous drink pours/refills with lunch.

LP Loaded. Amenity kit also provided.

LP Loaded!

Chicken Appetizer. Chicken very dry. The smoked sauce was nice.

Lamb. Overcooked but flavour was okay. Tender.

Service director was absolutely fantastic. 10/10 service. Very attentive and would ask if I needed anything whenever I passed by her in the Galley to use the washroom.

NRT-YYZ 28-Sep

Another data point: no champagne, no sparkling wine. SD said they had bubbly on his outbound (guessing yesterday) but missing product has been a regular problem recently.

Will report back later on the availability of port.

No port. My second flight in a row.
Cheese is served, but it is a weak offering.

Flying YUL-LHR on AC864 tomorrow (Sep 29) and will be choosing from this new menu for the first time:

Braised pork cheeks, grainy mustard sauce, sauerkraut, parsley potatoes, asparagus, baby carrot
Chicken stew, basmati rice, zucchini, roasted red pepper
Seabass, chimichurri butter, pearl couscous, asparagus
Potato gnocchi, marinara sauce, zucchini, kale, mushroom, tomato, Parmesan
Pork cheeks don't sound appealing to me so I'm thinking chicken stew or seabass. Has anyone tried those and have an opinion on either?

I had this menu twice lately. Pork cheeks were alright, nothing special. The chicken stew I didn’t find appetizing at all.

Ha ok. Maybe I should try the seabass then.

The seabass was pretty good, but I only had a bite of it. The pork cheek I liked, except for the sauerkraut.
