Hey for your birthday this year, how about you give me a $50 interest-free loan and I'll give you some monopoly money?

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Yes, this is a FWP thread.
But so is FT. Really no different than complaining about our upgrades not clearing at the gate.
Woot woot! What would Michael Scott say?

I also chose the 25% recently. Will be interesting to see how useful it is.

Well, it would be as useful as a 25% discount... just make sure you apply it to a high base fare to get some value out of it!

My SO got her birthday perk today. She took 250 points. All her (and my) travel is on flight passes so discount not helpful there (or to me).

Did you log into your aeroplan first before booking their flights under their names, or did you just book the flight on aircanada.com, apply the code in the promotion code box, and book their flights?

Just wondering if AC will do an audit and charge the money back at some point down the road.

The new TD aeroplan 15% code does not specify the same conditions

Same question: did you sign into your Aeroplan account first before booking, or did you just apply the code when booking on Air Canada

My daughter, who is 3 year old now, and had an Aeroplan account since she was 1, didn't receive any birthday perk

Welcome to FT

I don't understand your concern. Someone posted the T&C for the 25% off code upthread. Nowhere is it mentioned that the recipient of the code must be one of the passengers.

Even if that were the case, logging in to your Aeroplan account wouldn't have anything to do with it (there's no need to log in to apply any promo code on the website). If they were trying to track who had used the promo code, they would use a name match or the passenger's Aeroplan number, not the account that was logged in to make the booking. Regardless, it shouldn't be an issue since the T&C don't place any restrictions on who can use it.

Oh, that makes sense. I was looking at the email I got and this is what is says.

This Aeroplan Birthday Perk Promotion (the “Offer”) is sponsored by Aeroplan.

Only the recipient of this email (a “Selected Aeroplan Member”) is eligible for this Birthday Perk. It is non‑transferable.

I took that to mean I had to be one of the passengers.

Seems like the birthday perk is more or less random?
