AC Food & Beverage - Economy - North America (Jul 2021 - ???)
This thread is to report on and discuss in-flight food and beverage for all Air Canada flights in Economy Class within North America. From a meal perspective, “North America” includes “Sun” destinations such as Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. Post your menus, photos, questions, and opinions in this thread.
Air Canada does not provide any meals within North America. On flights longer than 2 hours, a buy on board service is offered. August 2021 update: buy on board service has resumed after being suspended due to COVID, but may be limited.
On flights under 2 hours, a bag of pretzels (10AM or later) or package of Biscoff cookies (before 10AM) is provided, complimentary
Non-alcoholic beverages (water, coffee, tea, juice, soft drinks) are provided free of charge. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase (including on flights shorter than 2 hours).
On some very short flights (e.g. YCD-YVR), there is no service. On other flights under 1 hour, a limited beverage service (water or juice) may be provided.

The BoB menus I'm seeing through the app don't have any alcohol listed. I've seen BoB Canadian on Jazz DH4 flights, but haven't flown Y on anything else. Are they currently doing BoB alcohol on other flights? If so, is there anything other than the Captain Morgan and Glenlivet 12 that's for sale in the back but not offered up front?

I had the poutine from YYC-YOW last week; the fries were soggy, but still warm, the gravy was not beefy enough (reminds me of NY Fries' gravy these days), and the cheese curds didn't squeak like they do for me in Quebec City (Chez Gaston or Chez Ashton are my 2 go-tos).
I get it - 35 000 feet in the air and thus, expectations have to be lowered accordingly.

I know the poutine will be awful, but I still want to try it. Unfortunately on my last YYZ-YVR flight they didn't cater it

I had both the burger and the chicken wrap (I wanted the poutine instead of the wrap) as I got into YVR several hours late and thus missed my initial connecting flight.
No condiments were handed to me, but I like my burger plain anyway.
It was not bad and it reminded me of what I used to buy for $2.00 in my middle school cafeteria in the early 90s.

Does anyone know what they might offer on a redeye SFO-YYZ (which I realize doesn't start until after Monday....but still trying to figure out how to plan...flying on Friday).
At booking, it offers me the ability to pre-pay for a meal deal. However, the AC Bistro page claims that they are not offered on flights departing after 10pm, and I depart at 10:30. So I still would expect it not to be offered. If it is, we can buy on board, right?
For curiosity sake, I kind of want to see what happens if I pre-pay and they don't have anything, but not going down that road.

Can't tell from your pics, but were they able to warm up your burger after selling their oven? Who's the lucky bidder that will be able to make it the right way at home?
