AC 738 SFO-YYZ on a 321. Booked 8/16 the at T-12, departed with 10/16. They had two pancakes and ten omelettes. There are three people in row one. There were no pancakes left after row one. I got one of each.
Mainline SFO-YYZ is the same old awesome omelette.
I would suspect Jazz flights at larger stations also get the typical treatment, but I'll defer to you on that.
US stations presently have a shortage of the Parsley Omelet and will be substituted for the rest of the month with Swiss & Roasted Tomato Omelet with potato and chicken sausage, out of DFW and Broccoli frittata and chicken sausage out of the rest of the US stations.
(Applies to Express flights, unsure about mainline)

Impossible to tell unless I can glimpse the PIL.
I'm in 1D, and I was asked first.
Edit: yyznomad I asked the SD, and she said she did it "by status" (bearing in mind it's only VIP and SE who get it), and that it's supposed to be done by status.

If they have them, sure.
The conversation went something like this:
Me: How many meals do you have?
SD: 10 omelettes and 2 pancakes
Me: I'll take the pancakes, but if you have leftover omelettes, could I have one?
SD: Sure, if there are leftovers.
And then she gave me one at the end of service.
You can't get 4 meals if they have 10 for 10 passengers, but I've never had an issue getting an extra (or a replacement, in certain cases), when they have leftovers.

Same, but it's so vastly different.
It's... possible? The aircraft arrived last night, so I expect most of the food to be from SFO.

I'm sure Adam Smith would be amenable to a change from "cardboard" to not cardboard.
It would be nice though if this is an actual change in snack service.

(seemingly) an upgrade on the chocolate, but Lays is nowhere NEAR as good as Miss Vickie’s. Given the general direction that AC is headed in, I’m really surprised that they didn’t upgrade the chips to something fancy if they were changing snacks in the first place. Nice FWP to have!

At times, the snack basket items will not be available for one reason or another, and a snack basket may be assembled from other items, usually from the Y BoB offering, such as Pringles, Hershey’s Mix, etc.
Ill-informed or misleading Service Directors may say that the snack basket offering has been updated and this is the new standard going forward, but true changes to the snack basket offering are incredibly rare.

Judging by the US units on the lays bag, I would assume this is a US catering thing.
I flew YYC-YHZ today and had the standard snack bag with Miss Vickie's and Lindt.

Since it's always omlettes or pancakes for breakfast, it can get kind of boring after a few flights.
Has anyone managed to ask for either a cheese burger or pizza from the Onboard Cafe in the back instead? Do they even load these for breakfast flights?

Well, this is at least month 5, since it was the single option between YWG and YYZ when I flew in June.

There has been anecdotal evidence that on occasion, the request is granted but it seems that J pax still get nickle-and-dimed to death regarding Y stuff. No touchy for J pax unless pay up up up!
