Just flew AC116 out of YVR to YYZ in J.

Meals were pretty good. I loved the chicken - nice and tender, sauce (gravy sort?) was filling and flavourful. Salad also seemed better than normal, even thought it's the same blandy based.

Salmon start is perfect, as always - one of my favourite AC J meals so far.

Decent selection of wines, enjoyed both the French and South African variety. Loved the French bottle and would recommend it.

New month, new cold snacks on short flights.

Eastbound: pita with beet hummus.

Westbound: beef with some sort of mayo sauce on couscous.

AC127 tonight was choice of Cheese or Dessert (Chocolate mousse cake or Fruit).
Another crew not aware that Cheese is a separate course from dessert. (SD was Laura)

You may enjoy it less when it served to you for the seventh time...

What is the J service like for the eastbound YYC-YYZ/YEG-YYZ red eyes that leave after 00:00?

Not sure about recently, but last time I flew YYC-YYZ at the end of July with lie-flats, I was given the usual omelette before landing

Thank you. I've never actually taken it so I wasn't sure if it was dinner/snack/breakfast.

Here's the beet hummus I mentioned a couple of posts ago. AC238 YVR-YEG 5-Sep-21. Same thing was served on AC220 YVR-YYC later that day.

Posting on behalf of @jasdou. This morning on YQB-YYZ.

Does anyone know if hot breakfast is back on western triangle flights?

Also is Prosecco still served? Thanks!

Will it be safe to presume that this same cold breakfast box will be served on my YFC to YYZ 5:50am flight on October?
I don't think hot breakfast (Omelette) is provided in business class from out stations like Fredericton!

Thanks for sharing!

Between this and the MLL 'avocado toast', AC ought to be embarrassed to present these as premium offerings. The covid excuse shouldn't fly anymore (no pun intended), and just for illustration, here is what peer airlines are serving in short-haul J right now.

I can also confirm omelette was just served on YYJ-YYC (AC398, on the A220). It was a little different, will post pics soon. I'm flying YYC-YVR next, I will compare the omelettes.

Interestingly I booked this with the FP app, and even though it auto selected SPML, there was no reference to it on the BP and I was served a standard meal with no mention of my SPML.
