Better than the 80% they offered last month.

With little visibility on when flying will pick up again, and the consistently poor value I've seen when searching for flights with the new Aeroplan, I'm reluctant to lend AC another ≥$1,800 interest-free.

At 100% bonus, it's more compelling than what they've offered for a while, but I'm not sure I can consistently generate enough value to make paying 1.5 cpm worthwhile.

Glad they went this route like IHG with higher rewards for higher purchases than repeating last Summer's format. I hadn't planned on buying more but will have to give it some thought so thanks for sharing.

Interesting that I don't see this on the AC site or on the app, nor have I received any e-mails from AC about it. The points.com link certainly seeems legit, but it seems odd that AC would let a blogger launch this before they did.

So the "book for cash then cancel for 65% bonus points" is still a better deal at the bottom end.

Thanks, I'll keep my cash. At least it's worth something.

How about Aeroplan issues me bonus miles for the interest generated by the money AC owes me since last year?

On the fence about loading up for the future non covid years but new program just seems to be so unpredictable.

Is it even possible to do a reasonable J class mini RTW-like trip anymore under the new program? It’s so complicated... I suppose it would be 10k for the 2 stops alone... seems like a round trip to Bangkok to Canada costs 180k (at the cheapest 90k each way) Plus 10k for stops... a little steep.... 200k a person?

Hypothetically are the the connections within asia between the stops charged at new intra-Asian flight prices? Or is it still just the value of the biggest round trip...?

To expand the equation above, current policy allows you to purchase a ticket for cash, and then cancel in return for the value of the ticket in Aeroplan points plus a 65% bonus.

Do read the fine print.

I feel like a total noob even asking, but I'm guessing we can't use our handy vouchers from AC to buy points with this promo?

Since it's going through a third party, I somehow doubt it, but figured I would ask.
