Interestingly, there don't seem to be any blackout dates on that code, even seems to work over Christmas.

Yes I noticed that too. I searched a couple latitude and business restricted fares for Jan/Feb and they are indeed lower than what I usually pay however Black Friday is round the corner and I'm choosing to wait .

TATL B fare went up 50% when using the code vs not using the code.

Interesting. I looked up DXB at $2753 in Latitude and is lower than what I usually pay.

Thought about this too..
Do we really expect Black Friday to result in a >20% discount
Can't you just cancel the current booking and rebook the exact same flights if the promo increases and pocket the difference?

In 2018 BF/CM was 15% and in 2019 was 20%. This year they ran 20% off at least couple times already and current promotion expires a month before BF/CM and one would expect to be more stronger. They could also just maintain at 20%.

Yes I could book right now but that means giving AC an extra month of my dollars which I don't have to (and also dealing with changes to P business restricted fares)

What’s nice about this is no blackout dates like OP and others mentioned! I want to fly home for Christmas so I think I might roll the dice and book now... but I’ll be kicking myself if BF/CM has a deeper discount and no blackout dates...

Those familiar with MHD , available for around 1050-1150 return after 20 with lie flats. One can get creative and also route through both YYZ & YUL with overnights. Also possible from YYC/YEG (little more).

Was anyone watching fares beforehand and seen whether AC went and put up fares in the lead-up to this promo, as they so often do?

Care to share the dates and routes? Would love to look up the fare rules on EF.

MHD? With two-week quarantine on the way back? Blech.

I wouldn't be booking for sure however some may want a week or two resort and sun vacay during winter and don't mind the14 day quarantine when back. Some may want to book for travel before June 13th and hope quarantine disappears (or reduced) by then. Depends how much one values 20% off.

Had been watching a YWG-YOW P fare over the holidays, it stayed the same so this was a welcomed $100 savings. If only one of my 4 pending GCs had arrived in time to let me avoid having to pay cash for it.

If I have a booking (yyz-yvr, standard fare) and cancel it to get an Air Canada credit, can I then rebook the same flight at the cheaper price and still have the 1 free change/cancellation?
Thanks

not possible for non-refundable bookings because the Air Canada Travel Vouchers are taking forever to be issued.

Possible with the matching Westjet promo because the refund credits are issued immediately
