no, but seeing as I was the only one on board they gave me a personal welcome to Toronto, which was actually pretty cool.
It felt like a private jet flight- hey I guess it was!!

I guess that's why the thread isn't titled "Put me in Coach.."

Yeah, but "Put me in Premium Economy" doesn't suggest a John Fogherty song.

You can see the FA's sitting down in the very last row.
Wow. I've flown a lot of YOW/YYZ/YUL triangle flights over the years. A lot. This is something I never ever could have imagined.

Did they make you sit in the first row for W&B? ;-)

I have only ever had something like this once. Q300 from Montreal to Quebec City. It was myself and a co-worker going to the same meeting. I had status my coworker did not the gate agent asked me if I wanted to do zone boarding. She walked us out to aircraft and handed us off to flight attendant who told us we could sit anywhere we wanted.

Having an airbus to my self would be great. No lines for the washroom. No issues with luggage.

depends on the plane. E75 is back to front and same with CR9. The CR2 is often front to back tho...

Yikes. I didn't think the flights would be quite that empty!

Has anyone else tried out one of these flights? Are the loads any better on others?

My return later that afternoon was quite full actually. Standard configuration A320, middle seats blocked.

on YYZ - YOW - YYZ i became familiar with the smoked salmon (barely defrosted) with one drink and T&Cs and a top up if you were lucky. Cabin Manager headed back to help the second crew member on the E190 and so there was a 10 min void up front. It was rushed with no indigestion tablet provided!

something is better than nothing I guess

Following on the experience and epic photo posted upthread by @rafi2k6

I see Ricky has a trip report with an entire series of photos and details of his YYZ-YUL flight. Fascinating to see and read. While the sights and descriptions are pretty strange or shocking based on what we were all used to, I found it more of a sea of tranquility.

My experience for each of my domestic flights to date is that there are only two boarding zones anyway. The zone boarding concept becomes irrelevant with such minimal passenger numbers and ample space at every stage of the journey.

I hope the gate agent extended a personal invitation to board to the solo-pax above.
