I was at 0 AP miles just under a year ago, after booking 4 X J to Asia for summer vacation (all points now back in my account dues to COVID) plus other trips. I could easily burn through the 1.5M by the end of this year with bookings extending into late 2021..... family of 6

Ah, well, in that case, maybe you should buy. Not sure why you felt your chances of not getting in on the first tranche weren't good. After all, the promo opens in 9 minutes and you're hanging around FT on an electronic device that could likely be used to purchase Aeroplan miles

Are we going to get a confirmation pre-checkout about whether we're getting 115%?

Maximize in what sense? You could just buy 250K worth of points and "maximize" the offer that way.

I don't think we will get confirmation, it's the number of miles 'ordered'..
