we're in preferred seats and there's no other available row of preferred seats that are better distanced from other pax. Pax assigned to standard seat 22A has many equivalent standard seat alternatives, such as 28A, they can move to and have better distancing from other pax

I think the best way to ensure 2-metre separation from other passengers is not to share an airplane with them. Failing that, no, I don't think it's reasonable to ask that people in a different row move or be moved. If all are wearing masks, aren't traveling while sick, wash their hands often and don't touch their face, there's no real chance of catching the 'vid.

I was a little unsure whether this article belonged in the 'Scary YWG' incident thread but felt it was more appropriate here.

WINNIPEG -- A Winnipeg man is facing up to a $5,000 fine after refusing to wear a mask on a flight, according to RCMP.
RCMP said the incident happened on Monday, around 11:20 p.m. at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport. Officers were called for a report of an 'unruly passenger' on a flight travelling from Vancouver to Winnipeg. RCMP confirmed it was an Air Canada flight.

COVID-19 lavatory / bathroom cleaning - how often during flight?
COVID-19 lavatory / bathroom cleaning - how often is AC cleaning during flight?
Emirates says they clean every 45 minutes during the flight, for flights over 1.5 hours.

I'd predict:
Front/J lavs are likely spotless/cleaned after every use*
*note this is off-limit to passenger use even if seated in J cabin
PY/Y lavs were clean when airplane was delivered, floors get wiped down with sanitizer at night, and often get paper towels refilled mid flight.

Air Canada to start selling middle seat on flights as of July 1
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/busi...flights-as-of/
Air Canadas policy of blocking off the adjacent seat in economy class also ends on July 1, as the airlines look to recover from a collapse in air travel that has cost thousands of jobs and threatened the survival of many of the worlds carriers.
Air Canadas adjacent seat policy was intended as a temporary measure and we will be replacing it with a new, flexible approach beginning July 1 as part of a further refinement of our extensive biosafety programs, said Peter Fitzpatrick, an Air Canada spokesman.

Im about to board a flight to YEG. I fail to see how JTs 14-day policy should prohibit me from ordering a can of coke.

That's illogical. Lounges are for departing customers, everyone flying could use them. If we had International arrivals lounges perhaps it might make sense. As for meal/beverage service, surely AC doesn't think the passengers worthy of actual meals service come from abroad??
