I think Clean Care+ is long overdue. The attached pic shows what my wife got on the lysol wipe she used to disinfect our area (arm rests, head rests, tray tables, screens) on a relativley new 787, AC967, BGI to YYZ on March 17th.

Unless you're planning to fly just to check out, and report back on, CleanCare+, probably not much point in going to YHZ that weekend then

This temperature taking thing is total performance theatre designed to make some pax feel better about sitting next to others. IMHO, of course.
Very good points. I can't imagine how high my temperature was in January when my wife and I sprinted from one of the distant A gates at FRA over to C to catch our FRA-YYC flight (all the way at the end of the pier, of course) thanks to tight connection to begin with aggravated by late inbound on TP.

Yikes. Are you sure your wife didn't use that wipe on a bike chain?

That is simply gross.

I was wiping stuff down before the pandemic. I now have another reason not to stop doing that any time soon.

So has Air Canada offered any indication of when they will start this new practice of actually cleaning their planes?

do really like the fact there not only doing the aircraft cleaning better becasue i know all airlines sucked on this pre covid. the bag of hand sanitizer and wipes is a good visual way showing it to the public as confirmation. can't wait for a change to fly with them again

I think y'all are going to be underwhelmed.

"All high-touch areas are sanitized with a hospital-grade disinfectant before every flight and each time an aircraft overnights it receives a thorough cleaning."

"Disinfected" does not necessarily mean all the grime will go away. It just means that they'll be trying to kill the viruses and bacteria that lived in the grime.

They already had a fairly regimented overnight "thorough cleaning". It just wasn't thorough enough to satisfy us. I'm not even convinced that sentence contains anything new they'll be doing, or if they're just PRifying their existing practices to sound better in the current environment.

How accurate will the handheld infrared temperature testing be?

Possibly accurate for skin temperature, but there's a reason why medical doctors use something a bit more invasive like an ear canal, mouth or other orifice.

And when you have a fever, your measure temperature can vary throughout the day.

Enhanced thermometers for their most frequent fliers to ensure the most thorough testing is administered.

Remember to cough.

I wonder if the temperature screening will adjust for pax who are already hot under the collar after suffering one delay after another.

Now you've done it. There are so many inappropriate lines one could post here.

Maybe if I put on my flight compliant Zone 1 mask they won't be able to figure out who posted.
