2 hours (assuming its international widebody service) would include:
- hypothetical (boarding pass) boarding time of 40 mins
- 20 mins of taxiing, safety video etc etc
- 30 mins of going to cruising altitude
- 10 mins to start the drink/nut service
- 20 mins to start and complete appetizer
That should work. If its not hockey puck enough try adding a delay of 30 mins due to WX, MX or pure air traffic/taxi congestion

Print out the recipe in a language you dont know, try your best (not) to understand and follow it. Allow it to cook down for 12 hours, then put it in the oven, plate 30 appetizers, then turn off the oven.

Buy a spare propane cylinder! Whether it's cooking meat or making fountain Coke Zero with CO2, a single 20# cylinder is never enough!
Sear quickly at high heat on grill , move to indirect heat.
Take temperature every 5-10min for about 30min (note: if Temp isn't increasing from 98F 36.7C , the good news is you don't have Covid-19 yet. The bad news is you need to take the STEAK's temp, not your own).
When it hits 160F give it another 10 minutes for good measure.
We have one cooked steak leftover. Considering demonstrating its fork tenderness (or lack thereof) on tonight's Zoom AC DO.

This morning I was going to try to make an AC Omelette
then I realized we only have fresh eggs. strike 1
no cold war era cottage cheese strike 2
no mushy/moldy grapes or blueberries for fruit plate strike 3
Last night all 3 of us (SE100k) wanted a nice dry steak.
We all have meal priority, so why not.
Nailed it! We were able to exactly recreate a recent AC J Signature Service flight......there was a provisioning problem in our home thus nobody got steak, family was served the unwanted pasta instead.

It is simply the best!

It took quite a bit of work to overcook the green beans to match the same olive color of those provided by AC. I may have also "accidentally" overcooked the chicken.

I can't believe you guys call the steak a hockey puck...
The steak in J has always been delish for me! Although it has always been well done, unfortunately.

In an effort to re-create AC's frozen fresh fruit at home.....
Just gorgeous. The ice crystals glisten just like AC's.

Then I remembered the tasteless blueberry muffin that was served on AC 882, and I knew I could do better.
Just baked BTW. And for those watching at home, bran blueberry with orange zest.

I think you might have missed the point of this thread.....
The idea started here. See posts 3960-3968 Summary of North America Executive class meal service
That's how @RangerNS started the AC Meals....at Home thread.
(I am still a bit envious of the hilarity and photos in the BA thread that inspired, including the talents of @Strawb who even posted a menu of their meal.)
