Where: On your computing device. Anything with a Zoom client. https://zoom.us/download - You probably want "Zoom Client for Meetings" or "Zoom Mobile Apps".

When: Saturday March 23 2024 @ 1700 PDT / 2000 EDT / 2130 NDT - We will likely go quite late, typically ending after 0100 PDT.

The link will be the same every week. We don't need a list, many people will be here. Just add your name if you want the link PM'd to you around 1630 PDT before the do.

Suggestion: Please include your forum handle (and optionally your name) when logging onto Zoom.

Please send me the same link as last week:

I agree that by PM is better. I can protect the meeting with a PIN, but then we have to PM the PIN anyways. So might I was just keep the URL private.

Don't know whether to waitlist myself or pick the "don't know much about computers" ... both relevant. Will mostly depend on when I get to go home (looking like maybe Fri or Sat).

I'm in assuming Internet works at my cottage and family don't become overly irate with me.

Am I to assume the link is being PM'd at some point?

You can assume the link will be made available in some manner before Saturday evening.

I am in.

We have been using Slack and Google Hangout at work, before coronavirus. I also used Skype, Zoom for meetings with various clients.

I forgot if its possible to do instant messaging on Zoom, but on Slack you can, and unlike Hangout, the messages are persistent, which means the chat history will be stored after the call is ended. On Slack we can create a general channel to house the large group discussion, then people can create smaller channels based on topics and start video chats there, to mimic breaking off into smaller groups. Not sure if its possible to do the same on Zoom or other platforms.

I might pop in with you guys. Note quite sure how this conversation will work unless we go around the circle taking turns to talk.

I'm off my 14 day self isolation on Saturday, so I might be out partying if we aren't under martial law... JK about the partying part.

I will try and make it, although given the current circumstances my work schedule is somewhat unpredictable.
