For those coming here for the tl;dr redux version of what AC is doing, here is the latest and greatest.

On March 17, 2020, we received bonus eUgrade credits that are noted to expire on May 31, 2021:

S100K received 25 credits, E75K received 20 credits, E50K received 15 credits, etc.

And here is a recent update from jasdou regarding a statement from AC Altitude:

As the risk of piling on, me 4.

And apparently my 28 Feb, 2021 credits are "... expiring soon ...".

This seems like a reasonable response from Air Canada at this time. Acknowledge that they will address it but also acknowledge they can't have an answer today.

AC will need corporate travellers to return actively and big time upon resumption of normal service for their profitability to grow... so you can bet they will likely make some significant changes to drive revenue.

That is if we make it through the zombie apocalypse.

Of course.

And yes, most of us will make it through, surely. At which point we'll go back to worrying about next year''s status. :-)

I just received the 25 eUps - - and the Mrs got 15 with E50 status.

This year's flying will be complicated - had to just cancel 75K worth of tickets because the tickets were all linked / are refundable - and I worried about both not flying and not getting money from a bankrupt airline . . . . (not AC ticket stock).

Seems like a reasonable approach.

Got 20 credits today.
E75K.

Predictions of a 3 month status extension may be correct (and appreciated).

What would that do? Your status expires in May, and you drop down to 60% of the level you were at this year?

Ah you're right. I got 25 as an SE.

Nice gesture by AC but surprised they aren't even communicating this out. What a wasted opportunity to engender some goodwill.

No one will be flying normally for at least 6 months. Factor that in. This is a long haul route, folks.

Premature to say that, really. Maybe in a month doctors are going to decide that all of these anti-travel measures aren't really making any difference and we might as well go back to flying. Or two months. Or whatever. Six seems on the long side to say "no one will be flying normally".

If they get pandemic in control in 2 to 3 months and open borders / air space, I'll be up in the air right after
