Feature Requests / Bug Reports
  • More direct links to partner airline "manage booking" pages
  • For points bookings, show how many points were used
  • Sometimes when you have UN segments, it doesn't show the entire PNR
  • How about a one tool using the other: PNR lookup tool could show R space available Y/N if pax isn't already upgraded.
  • Can seat # be a clickable link to carrier manage booking/seat?
  • Display ticket create date/time, helpful to know when reticketed due to schedule change.

This does seem to match others’ observation that perhaps AC did something. It’s also looking like our statuses can now be updated without removing/re-adding FF numbers.
Interesting. It's almost like new res systems are smarter than old ones

Cow, as a web developer who also likes to explore/playing w/ open API like this,

I just want to say this tool is super simple but incredibly useful to check all our upcoming flights need (especially mRTW).
All our bookings & seats also immediately show up in your tool!

Big Kudos & Thank you very much for doing this!

I am not a web developer, but I can appreciate the simplicity yet usefulness of this tool. Thank you from our family as well, Cow. Your elegant tool has cleared up some annoying items on our mRTW itineraries, which would otherwise have been more difficult to see at AC.com and in our PDF Aeroplan itineraries. More free time for us on this Family Day long weekend!

Now checked in. As I half expected, ticket numbers shown on the boarding pass are the original 014, i.e. not the ticket numbers that the tool (and aircanada.com) were showing.

So, a further DP. Ms SWMBO Stanbury just attempted web check in for her flight to CDG tomorrow, which had 2 TK and 2 HK status flights. I advised her that this would almost certainly be a fruitless exercise, and we would have to either call AC or wait until she is at YWG tomorrow.

Result: the check-in worked like a charm! She now has BP's both printed and in her iPhone wallet - the latter obtained through the app.

Cow's tool still shows the 2 TK's.

I don't begin to understand this, but "ours not to reason why" I guess.

Well now that the thread title has changed, I guess that name is stuck

I've added a couple new columns. Distance, base fare, and surcharges.

Distance is based on some "old" data pulled from Adam Smith 's spreadsheet (along with a Haversine calculator). I'll update it at some point if things look good.

The fare/surcharges fields are the pro-rated amounts based on distance, calculated from the information I can find. I have some PNRs with YQ and YR, but I don't have one with Y to test, but it should be fine.

This does not yet calculate your earnings, since I have not stolen Adam's list of *A airlines or bonus calculations. Though since I know whether it's an AC ticket and I know your status, it should be a bit simpler to determine everything.

I hope this is a useful addition, and I'd love to see any PNRs this doesn't work with.

One thing that's harder to see in this screenshot is that if you hover over an amount, it says "USD". Not super relevant since this isn't quite AQD, but I'm not sure a good way to figure out the exchange rate AC will use.

I wish your tool did this for other airlines. It would be immensely helpful -- it's essentially identical to what I have in my spreadsheet for all my flights, except I'm manually entering them

Nice additions to the tool!! Thanks!

I have a 7 segment itinerary and am just over 50% done the flying... the tool shows negative AQD for under the Base column for the two TPAC segments... the other segments seem to have the correct Base amounts... any ideas on why a negative number would be there? (All YQ numbers are positive, albeit very small).

Are the distances correct?

I'm getting the error message again, same PNR that I shared with you. Was trying to check out the new features.

I'm getting an error on everything now. I'll figure it out when I get home if it hasn't resolved itself by then.

It's working again (and I specifically checked with your booking).

Yes-- the distances are correct

Slightly edited to remove dates and unnecssary columns...

Nice cow, can you fire the AC app team and replace them with you? AC app won't pull up Air Canada itineraries booked as non-014 tickets.
