Feature Requests / Bug Reports
  • More direct links to partner airline "manage booking" pages
  • For points bookings, show how many points were used
  • Sometimes when you have UN segments, it doesn't show the entire PNR
  • How about a one tool using the other: PNR lookup tool could show R space available Y/N if pax isn't already upgraded.
  • Can seat # be a clickable link to carrier manage booking/seat?
  • Display ticket create date/time, helpful to know when reticketed due to schedule change.

If you hover over the distance, does it say "Haversine" ?

I think we're calculating that distance because we don't have any data points.

You've flown this since December 2019, and it credited as 334?

Yep, it says Haversine. Flew it a couple days ago and was credited 334

Happy to help if you still need a volunteer. I only have the no annual fee CIBC base card

Thanks for the help. You should show up as "25K (Silver CC)" now.

I rewrote the logic for displaying status, so if anyone sees any issues, let me know. But then I also added a bunch of tests, so in theory it should be less buggy.

Still doesn't show me as 2MM. So I guess it really is less buggy.

First update in quite a while. There's now a column that sums the base+YQ.

What does it mean when there are two Fare Basis listed in the output? I am seeing DQ0PEF/IAP20. I can look up the first half in ExpertFlyer and that seems to jive but can't seem to parse the IAP20.

thx

That's a "ticket designator".

https://guides.developer.iata.org/do...ket-designator

Aeroplan fare bases all of them now. A lot of corporate bookings have them.

Nope. These are part of negotiated fare contracts certain travel agencies / corporate travel departments have with the airline. Sometimes the ticket designator is needed in order to issue a ticket at a discount or for tracking purposes on certain corporate accounts. The only way to know the specifics is to have a copy of the contract/fare sheet!

Is it just me or is the Cowtool PNR viewer misbehaving?

I had a bunch of sched changes today. Checking these (or any of my) PNRs on the Tool yields a blank page as the result.

I also had a bunch of changes. Can't get the PNR's to come up on the AC website, either.

Maybe the hamsters that run Cowtool IT have gone a sympathy strike with the AC IT hamsters, or maybe they've caught the same bug...
