This new annual thread has been carved out of the previous thread in an effort to reduce the number of megathreads on the AC forum. For those interested previous versions are the original 2004 - 2014 thread , 2015 edition, 2016 edition , 2017 edition, 2018 edition and 2019 edition.
The original thread started by accident but quickly became a popular place to come and discuss off topic things such as hockey, new movies, or almost anything that wouldn't fit into existing AC forum threads. Air Canada or Aeroplan topics such as flight feedback, in-flight services issues, status or mileage earning/redemption are all topics that should go into existing AC forum threads so others can benefit from this information. Topics about hotels or airlines and/or their loyalty programs, destinations, in-flight travel tech. or anything best discussed elsewhere on FT may be relocated to that forum as this thread isn't meant to import travel topics to this forum that are better discussed on other forums. FT is an amazingly diverse and large community so members are encouraged to seek out all of its resources.
While the conversation is more relaxed as it would be in a lounge that doesn't mean however that the FT rules don't apply here as they definitely do so please refrain from controversial topics such as politics or religion, avoid profanities and treat other lounge patrons with the same respect you expect.

I used to travel a fair amount. Enough that my expenses on my company card were 5-figured every month.
I was never very good at collecting/reporting/filing my expenses despite the absolutely fool-proof tools my employer has given me. There was always enough money flowing through the company AMEX that I never really noticed how bad I was. When my travel slowed at year end and through January and then abruptly stopped 5 weeks ago the money stopped flowing and then I got caught up on my expenses. I started to notice just how bad I am at it.
I just made a nearly $5600 payment out of my own funds to pay off the card, and I don't think I'll find a way to get a penny of that back.
PSA: don't suck at your expenses

Problem is that the very accurate price they give is maybe 4-5% different then what AMEX gives.
Thus about $5k over the last year for me, too.

About a year ago, $JOB switch to Concur for expenses (but not travel). They helpfully fill in USD2CAD exchange, down to 13 decimal places, based on that days price. Previously, I had figured out a good price for me for the week, and with some aggressive rounding put that in for each expense when I did my weekly reports.

That was my experience too. I'd enter a CAD value, it would fill in a rate and USD value, but then I could replace the USD value with the one from my statement, and it would adjust the rate.

My delivery of 8+ liters of Bacardi Oakheart (and some other stuff) is late. They said 1300-1400. It is now 1425.
Edit: It showed up within 10 minutes of this post. I'm set at least until Friday now.

I was just wondering to myself why nobody wants to start a class action suit against internet providers right now.
I pay a goodly sum to have very fast internet. I am not getting that level of service. Nobody is. It's obvious why, but less obvious why it doesn't become an official complaint with a broad group of people.

The Canadian telcos are laughing all the way to the bank. They are still functioning and demand is high. Sure, they said they'd wave overages of use for X period of time since so many now have to work from home. But the big bonus for the telcos is the massive amount of user data they are now getting during what would be normal working hours...... which can be very valuable depending on who they sell it to.

One data point, my spouse is now working from home and my adult son is home and gaming all day (and most of the night) long. Our Shaw internet service has functioned as advertised and speeds have held up well.
Pretty good for Shaw's 300 MB Internet Service just after dinner.
