AC Buz fares to Asia spike in $

I cannot believe my eyes but fares in Buz Class have increased dramatically on AC to Asia.. Only 2 weeks ago I was eyeing fares to BKK, TPE or SIN for around $2.5-3.5K, Now they are in the $5k++ range. If you check google flights you will see the lower fares crossed out with the new hefty fares now offered. Pure greed..

Saw that as I wanted to go back to ICN and do the TMZ tour again and it's just silly expensive.

When were you looking to travel? Jan 25th is the Lunar New Year? Often a few days before to about a week and change after the prices will go up to take advantage of the huge migration.

Also, are you within the 7, 14, 30 day advance purchase ranges?

But I just booked ( for the first time in 30+ years) Transpacific flights with CX - they were much more reasonable than AC.

I looked at historical fares for BKK for purchase around 10-20 December and I don't see anything out of YOW for 2500$
Can OP provide more insight?

Probably referring to the latest version of this fare, which I'd consider a sale/deal/special fare that won't (and didn't) last very long:
