2020 Privileges - Bundle 2 / Bundle 1
Was wondering what most people choose - upgrades or AQM from flight pass activities?
I think the eupgrades have higher value if you compare the actual cost of upgrades vs eupgrades credits with the cost of redeeming aeroplan miles vs AQM generation. Of course, for those who use flight passes but don’t fly much it would count towards next year’s status which is a ‘soft’ benefit.
Feel free to share your selection for bundle 1 if you would.

I chose 2500 AQM instead of 12 eUps last year, I bought 3 FPs, and I'm sitting on 306k AQM and 75 expiring eUps.
So the 7500 AQM worked out well for me, but I was pretty close to wishing I'd taken 36 eUps instead.
I also chose wifi and 100% bonus, which worked out well. No regrets.
There's no reason for me to choose right now. At the very least, I can wait until my wifi subscription runs out. I wish I could choose bundle 1 and 2 separately though. I won't know what I want for 2 until the end of the year when I'm either short AQM or eUps

In my case, i always fly J when travelling to EU and Asia for business (100% using flight passes); about 6 round trips in total yearly. Does it count 12 total trips x 2500 AQMs = 30,000AQMs or only 6 round trips = 15,000AQMs.
In the past few years, i only used eupgrades for personal travel where i bought Y and PE. If i don’t have personal travel, those eups will not be used and expired. This year, i will have 85 eups expired in february 2020.
For next year, what would you do if you were me, cow?
For bundle 1, i am choosing 100% and 50eups, i already got the wifi pass from the early recognition this year which is valid until next October. Having wifi in the plane is great!

Unless it's a business flight pass, then it's for every 10 (?) credits used.
So much much less than either number you're quoting.

I'd take 100% bonus and... I don't know... E50K for a friend?

I'm on the fence. Last year I was E50K and chose 50% bonus AE miles (which helped me get enough miles for some sweet rewards) and Lower Requalification Level (which helped me get to E75K this year since I just reached 70,000 miles).
Now as E75K, I will definitely do 75% bonus AE miles but I am unsure whether to choose lower requalification level again or the eUpgrade Credits.
I travel international (middle east, India, Far east) for work but always in Economy. So the steep add-on pays to using eUpgrade Credits on those routes means that I realistically can't upgrade much (unless it's a fare with no add on pay, which is rare) and have never really used up all my eUpgrade Credits. Only time i've used them is on some Caribbean routes and once from Europe when I was booked in PE O and was able to upgrade to Signature Service. At the same, is lower requalification level worth it when I will never make it SE status (because I'll never spend the AQD in a year)?
I don't do flight passes so Bundle 2 is completely useless to me. So stupid how there's nothing else non-flight pass related available in bundle 2.

It's the flight pass bundle. It always has been. It's not meant as a general reward, it's meant as an incentive to buy products that are lucrative for AC (and savvy FFers).

Yes.
It's per flight pass, not per trip.

Why are you choosing eUps if you don't need eUps?

Next question, if i dont decide by March 1st, while my current SE status will expire end of February (i had picked 100% and eupgrades last october for early recognition), what are they going to do with my privilege in March onwards then? Will the 100% AE be not there anymore?

Tend to choose this one as well. This year I am not sure what to do for flight pass activities. I will have about 75 eUpgrades at the start of the year with a fair number of latitude flights already upgraded for next year. With another 40 eUpgrades throughout the year at the 3 threshold levels, it seems really unlikely I will use that many over the course of the year. I may go to the 2500 miles for flight pass activities instead for the first time in a few years.

When I get the chance to choose, I'll be picking:
100% bonus
50k for the wonderful lady who puts up with my travel
2,500aqm per FP (latitude passes so no use with the eups).
