If I were guessing bases on that data alone, it displays the type for OAL if it's a type that's operated by AC (and therefore perhaps listed in whatever database the app pulls the name from?), but that's a guess.
It was a 32A. Given your data points, I'd agree. But it's weird, because the type shows up fine on AC.com.

Oh, I forgot to mention, there's a ET 788 segment on there that shows up normally too.

I just made a couple bookings on united.com, added my Aeroplan number through there, and they're both showing up in the AC app automatically.

I'm now seeing the aircraft type on all my Aeroplan bookings.

I cancelled all my bookings with NH and UA, so I can't check any other airlines easily.

I'm seeing aircraft type on all bookings, including ones that were missing before. This includes the SQ 359 segment that was previously missing. It just says "359" rather than "Airbus A350-900", unlike the types that AC operates, but if memory serves, that's consistent with the AC website, isn't it?

If only you had a booking you could pull up on the website to test

It was late, I was tired, wasn't in the mood to deal with the finicky AC website

But yes, it's similar to the website on that front.

I keep contacting them requesting that they add the fare branding to the itinerary in the App. I book Flex (sometimes) and Comfort (often), it would be nice to know what is what vs just "Economy" or "K".

My revenue bookings say "Economy" or "Business Class".

My Aeroplan bookings say nothing.

Give me the fare class and fare basis please

Looks like the app isn't properly classifying YQ/YR on the summary page before purchase. "Air transportation charges" should include base fare + carrier surcharges, but when we look at the breakdown, we can see that they're actually getting added in to the "Taxes, fees & charges" line.

All my Aeroplan EY F flights state Premium Economy cabin (both in app and website) and show correct F seats numbers.

That's been true for all F bookings since AC introduced PY, which they code as O cabin.
