Background
Beginning with the 2018/19 benefit year, Air Canada provides a banked year of Super Elite status as the threshold gift at 250K AQM / 250 AQS, as described thusly:
Receive one year of Banked Super Elite 100K status that will provide you with an automatic benefit year extension of Super Elite 100K status. Banked status is assigned in the first benefit year when published requirements for achieving Super Elite 100K status have not been met.
Feel free to post in this thread and in the wiki with your banked year(s).

Note: only post your name once. For example, if you have two years of banked SE in late 2019, you are qualified "through 2022/23"; it's a given that you have 2021/22 as well.

What would happen if a current non-SE gets to 250 AQS without hitting the $20K AQD spend and therefore has no SE status to 'extend'?
This is very doable - If you fly 32 x 8 segment itineraries and average $500 per ticket, you would only have $16K AQD.

The rules say the threshold only applies to SEs.

Some fellow FT and other friends had commented to me "that's all?" and "you're not keeping up the pace from last year". I reminded them all I'm not 23 anymore.

24 then

I know exactly how you feel - joined AP in 1986, year I started working out of univ, and my early professional duties involved a lot of short-hops so did a lot of segments with few miles.

The SE bank may not really matter much now, as after retirement, how much need will arise for Concierge?

The one time per year that you'll actually need them. It just takes one time.

Yes, your right, but with E75k for Life, certainly the SE Bank will help, but I'm not spending anything more for what my credit card likely can just as easily solve.

That's correct.

The likelihood of me being in a position where I have banked years of SE as a tax accountant is almost zero...

Any tax accountants out there on FT who fly enough to get SE? Lol

You need new clients. Perhaps some offshore ones with "currency problems'. Just make sure they book you in J and pay for the excess sacks of cash you'll be schlepping around.

What could possibly go wrong?

I don't fly for work, and I have two banked years.

Your occupation is irrelevant.

Currency problems, yes, that is exactly it!

After reading the Panama Papers, I think it is safe to say that this will work

So, should I request AC - J for all my flights and become a SE100K? Or should I request a private jet? Very tough decision...

Lol I know that cow! But I need to have very high cash flows to make this work...

Okay fine, I am going to scratch the kids/marriage idea. SE100K sounds better anyways! Hahahaha
