Trapped in AC Cafe bathroom YYZ

Sigh.....I'm trapped in one of the stalls at the Cafe bathroom. The lock mechanism broke. Has this happened before? I'm going to miss my flight and Thanksgiving dinner :-(

These locks and doors aren’t too sturdy.

If this is real, call the restaurant, or horse kick the door, gently at first, and then with more force.

Since you're SE, call the concierge

911 isn't the emergency number for the airport.... do you want the number???

As per the torontopearson.com website....

If you are experiencing an emergency, call the Airport Emergency Line at (416) 776-3033.

Bathroom trappings surely are beyond the scope of their minimum wage job, no?

Just bang on the door, someone will help you out!

They've been trying to get me out for 30 minutes now. Nothing is working. I don't have any tools to help them. It's a full length door with 4 hinges and a dead bolt.

There's the door

Call the airport emergency number. You'll be out in no time

I wonder how much damage they are willing to do to the door. If they call Fire and Rescue to get you out, that's a quick extrication. If you're waiting on a locksmith...I hope you have good reading.

So I've missed my flight and Thanksgiving with the family while I wait further to be extricated from this horrid stall.

Couldn't someone from Pearson drill the core out if they don't have the key? Should be pretty quick imo. Sorry OP that situation you're in sucks...

I almost think you didn't really want to go to thanksgiving dinner.... "hi, you're never going to believe this.... I'm trapped in a bathroom and missed my flight"

I had the handle fall of inside at the MLL in YYC a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately, I was able to get it on and get out and let the cleaners know.

I think the only way out now is to saw through the dead bolt but it seems to be only visible from my side. Why do they need doors like these for the bathroom. This is tougher then most front doors. They can't even slide tools under for me to remove the hinges.

I think a fire axe would do the trick.

I feel bad for you.

Don't feel bad. A missed thanksgiving dinner could be a blessing in disguise!

Any guesses on the compensation that will be offered?
