More info- just went to sobeys and got an amazing combo

7 sobeys gift cards for $200 each + coupon for 100 airmiles with the purchase of $200 in sobeys gift cards, for 700 airmiles
$1500 (3*$500) in Air Canada gift cards for $1350 @ 10% off
And paid for with my amex platinum, so points there as well
Great combo.

I suppose with the savings, you could buy OMW.

Safeway has a limit of 5 x $200 Safeway gift cards per day for the 100 airmiles offer so you would only get 500 airmiles assuming Sobeys has the same daily limit.

Worked for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but I did grab 3 sobeys cards from the card spinner and the rest were done by the cashier from a different batch, if that makes a difference.

No insurance through amex with this purchase, but I'll likely use this with Air Canada for business (aka corporate rewards) who are usually great at making things go smoothly.
Pretty sure I also have free omw there on occasion as well. Omw would also be less than the discount on one of these gift cards, so it's up to your risk tolerance I guess.
