I don't get this one. What is the problem with YUL? Flying out of YHZ would mean an even shorter overnight (no-sleep) flight. Unless, of course, you are based in YHZ.

YQB-CDG, possible if the acquisition of TS allows for current service to be maintained.

A) I'm selfish
B) YYZ and YUL are too close to both be hubs
C) the question did not require logic or justification
D) additional reasons, best summarized as a proverbial janitors closet being too much support for an over supported province

This would be a great 220 route and open up an interesting connection point if YOW-FRA/LHR goes 788.

BUR-YYZ on the 220 would also be excellent.
Completely off topic but you triggered a question that I don't know the answer to and I'm confident dozens of people here do.

Why couldn't the YOW pax get off?

YYZ-SNA, perhaps the 220 will help with that

Literally anything out of YQB. More TB and EU destinations. I dont care if its on a narrow body.

Oh and I guess YQB-YHZ too. That would have saved the sanity of @Yhztraveller.

Do you know when the YQB Preclearance Facility is opening?

You took the words out of my mouth! I was going to suggest the exact same thing. YQB-Europe/USA. Anywhere. I'm in.

Construction for US Preclearance in YQB was originally supposed to start in the Fall 2018. Then postponed to Spring 2019.
There is on-going construction at the airport but I'm unsure what it's for. Could be the preclearance (fingers crossed). I'll ask next time I'm there (tomorrow).
Having US preclearance will hopefully open possibilities.

The YQB management team has gone quiet on this subject so who knows. They have the real estate to do it but there just isnt enough flights to justify it I guess. Chicken or egg situation.

Are you saying that I am not sane?? 6 segments over the past 12 weeks, the sanity is slowly returning....

Despite the fact that these are two of the largest travel markets in Canada? A hub requires an airport that can withstand weather related events and it must have either a customer base or be able to attract transit passengers.

Well, you did say "no matter how ridiculous or unfeasible", so YKZ to YBA would be an ideal time saver for me.

Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal or Toronto to Faro (FAO). Connections are crappy all round. Preference would be a non-stop from Vancouver, however more likely would be something out of Montreal or Toronto.

AirTransat does fly to FAO, however they don't count given the seats on their aircraft are sized for children and swim suit models.
