What is the best domestic lounge at YYZ?
I will have a six hour layover from 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM at YYZ. I'll be flying out on a domestic Air Canada flight.
I have a United Club membership and Priority Pass. I will be coming off a flight from the USA so I am not looking for a shower, I would like a nice place to get some work and good food. With six hours, I am fine changing terminals if that helps. |
There are only two options for you, and they're right across from each other. Try them both and see for yourself.

At YYZ you won't be able to terminal-hop without a boarding pass leaving from that terminal.
Priority Pass lounge at YYZ Dom is being renovated. Less space than usual, we could not get seats together last week. Decent hot meal spread though! If you are flying AC Business class, premium economy, are *G, or if you have a physical paid United Club membership, you can use the Maple Leaf Lounge. food is.... meh. Soup, bread, crackers (sense a theme?), possibly pizza or pasta for an hour. |

The digital card is only valid at United Club locations. At partner lounges, including participating Star Alliance™-affiliated lounges, United Club members must present a valid physical membership card and any other required documentation." If yes, then you are allowed to use the AC MLL. And as per @expert7700, manage your expectations and if you're lucky, you'll be there when the mysterious Haagen Dazs case appears.....before it disappears. :D |
the paid UA Club membership will allow my access to the Maple Leaf Lounge and Priority Pass works for Plaza Premier.
If I cannot terminal hop, then yes I agree there are two options, I might as well check them both out. |

You can't terminal hop because Domestic is one way, U.S. departures are separate as you pre-clear U.S. CBP and thus lounges on that side are only available to those flying to the U.S. International departures are separate as well. AC's website has some info as well https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/...lounge@toronto and then select city YYZ has 4 https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...74e87430cd.png |

I only go to domestic YYZ MLL to discuss ticket issues. Once resolved and they scan me in, I leave and go to PP.

Six hours? I would head into the city.

Yeah, me too. The UPX train offers a free trip back to the airport within 7 hours.

Could be the way I read this but free? It’s reduced in price for sure (the 7h return) but there’s definitely a cost ... I’m not even sure it’s the same price as a one way (ie free return leg only)? |

The "long layover" ticket is the same cost as a one-way ($12.35), so in effect your trip back is free, I guess.

You can access the PP lounge beside Secuirity @ Level 3. As stated, the food in the PP lounge is a bit better. They also carry The Toronto Star. On the other hand, it can be crowded. Suggest checking out the seating area by the windows - less busy! |
