Cancelled Flight’s Plane Used For Next Flight

AC7615 (DCA to YYZ) cancelled today after 2 boardings due to weather, was then positioned for AC7617’s use.

Unfortunate for me as when waivers opened today I moved from 7617 to 7615.

Bad luck...

Very bad luck today in YYZ and the north-east market today.
I'm here in yyz right now...I have seen 2 yyz-lga flights get cancelled with angry passengers storming away. Now all flights for that corridor are cancelled today.

BOS-YUL 8467 and BOS-YOW 8045 were cancelled. I'm on BOS-YYZ 532 after an hour delay. Crew warned that it will be a bumpy ride

The entire NE becomes such garbage in this weather.

Sometimes I feel like the busy summer season with storms can be way worse than winter when it comes to IROPs and IROP recovery.

We should have a dedicated thread for NE delays for YYZ to NYC/BOS/DCA complaints. Then people can learn that this happens all the time and AC does attempt to fix it by up-gaging planes and etc once the airspace & airports are open again.

Was looking at booking to LGA or EWR, great options from the US or YYZ. Then 2 minutes later I saw the first of the weather waviers and ATC stops.. Leading to zero availability.
Yeah it's nuts. All it takes is a stop or two in USNE, and the auto rebooking of pax fills up the flights for the rest of the day in a matter of seconds.

Then it's scrambling for a spot here and there as people cancel / refund / rebook for later etc.

Just check EF every hour or so, and there will probably be a WB to LGA popping up at some point. Either that or an extra 320 section. Once it opens, cancel your check in first, then use the self serve rebooking tool (SSRT). If it doesn't, a special number could pop up which gives you somewhat of a priority when calling in.

They are tomorow But AC won't have any options as they retire the old 767s. (the 777/787/A330 cannot fly into LGA due to wingspan limit).

Fun fact: Biggest plane to land at LGA was an Airbus Beluga. Ironically, to bring rescue parts for an Air Canada plane with a damaged horizontal stabilizer.

EF does not show anything
Google flights now shows AC1992 rouge 767, bookable in J only
aircanada.com shows AC1992, 767 operated by Air Georgian

Weird. I thought extra sections would show up on EF. They do pull up on GDSs.

Looks like maritimes might be getting ...... weather this weekend too.

Early morning LGA-YYZ flights cancelled, probably cause they couldn't get the planes last night since 8x YYZ-LGA flights were also cancelled on Thurs Jul 11th (I was on one of them)
Lots of unhappy folks of course. I was rebooked to Saturday but managed to sneak into EWR last night.

yes, see them from time to time and always makes me smile at LGA. Pretty cool if you ask me.

The other biggest plane I've seen was a UA 757 but that was a while back (probably summer last year).
