Accumulation changes for Asiana!

https://www.aeroplan.com/whats_new/n...290_2019_07_15

Accrual changes effective for travel July 15, 2019;
  • Earn 50% of the miles you fly in booking classes H, E, Q, K or S. For travel until July 14, 2019, earn 100%
  • Earn 25% of the miles you fly in booking classes V or W. For travel until July 14, 2019, earn 70%
  • Earn 25% of the miles you fly in new booking classes G or T.
To learn more consult the Asiana Airlines accumulation structure right now.

Why does Aeroplan always use an exclamation mark in these announcements?! It's not like the news is exciting! And it's very annoying when people use them when they're not needed!
Stranger and unclepants like this.

Apologies for copying this verbatim!

Yes, this an earning reduction across several fares - but the exclamation mark somehow lessens the blow?

Wait until they announce Aeroplan 2.0 or 2020 or whatever they call it. Many exclamations will be sacrificed on the altar of Tier 2 Marketing, I'm sure.

So 50% miles or less in all economy booking classes except for full-fare M/B/Y.

It's a shame even B and Y only earn 100% instead of 125% or more.

Does anyone know how long it takes OZ flights to post on AP?

Thanks!

I'm assuming AC will eventually have to update their partner page for

This article says the changes are expected to take 2 years after the deal closes, so no change in the near future...

This is a bummer, more and more people like me who don't buy J are getting dinged, I fully understand why, but it stinks.

I never really flew paid Asiana anyways since they only fly to a handful of US cities and none in Canada, BUT my status is with Asiana and a deval this way, will probably come with a deval going the other way as well so my AC flights which already don't earn much to OZ will likely earn even less.

Let's keep in mind that, this being the AC forum, there have been no accumulation changes announced for OZ at this point, and we're likely 3 years away from OZ leaving *A (if the acquisition does go through)

Those interested in discussing the OZ-KE merger are encouraged to check out the thread on that subject in the OZ forum.
