Air Canada special discounted fares to Toronto are available immediately for purchase until July 28 for travel from all cities in the continental United States served by Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz and on a codeshare basis with Star Alliance partner, United Airlines. Travel may be undertaken at anytime between July 23-29, returning July 31-August 3, and requires a minimum one day advance, return trip purchase.

Must be a sign of advancing age, though not senility, but the idea of spending a day in the sweltering late July heat with half a million drunken rock music fans, and the possibility of the whole thing being a mud flat [as it was last year for the Pope], does not hold much of an appeal to me, even if it is The Stones. However, if any out of town FTers are planning to come in for The Show, perhaps we can gather for a pre- or post-pint in cooler and drier surroundings?

Ha!! I have been an active reader of this forum for several months. This is my first post...and I found a mistake in the usually flawless Empress! For some reason, Miami to Toronto flights (as well as Orlando) are excluded from the Rolling Stones discounted offer. Empress had said all continental U.S. flights are discounted. Nonetheless I am in awe of the knowledge of so many of you (especially Empress) and am now happy that I finally registered and can post.

Ac should also offer special fares, in honour of the concert, from domestic and nontransborder international destinations.
AC, in conjunction with Toronto, needs to promote air travel/tourism to Toronto, from non-US, as well as US, destinations.

Is it merely a coincidence that the Air Canada website has been updated to reflect "a concert" rather than "The Rolling Stones concert"?? Me thinks some lawyers made AC change their promotion to avoid mentioning the name of the band and a perceived tie-in between AC and the band without paying.

Probably just has to do witht he fact that there will now be 14+ bands at it, with the Stones being the headliners. AC/DC, Rush, Sass Jordon, The Guess Who, Justin Timbelake are some of the others.
Most people I hear still call it the Stones concert though.
