I hope we can redeem soon and without YQ. Can one redeem miles on CX and without YQ?

I wonder if the Residence class fares will earn a generous 100%?

I think the highest flights in Aeroplan are Tap Business at 200%?

Hopefully they don't block apartment & residence award space.

Potentially great for rewards, but still no AQM for flights.

Are there any Aeroplan airline partners that are non star alliance members where you still get AQM/AQS/AQD?

For those who don't want to go through the blogs, the Aeroplan announcement is here. Details, including accumulation structure, here. 250% miles for The Residence. 150% for F. 115-125% for J, depending on fare class. So, as usual, pretty mediocre rates.

The VA partnership allows for earning AQM on codeshare flights booked via AC.

Pretty much guaranteed the Residence will be blocked. Apartment space is showing on Aeroplan.com

This is verygood, but it also sucks a bit. Apartments are (were) the best F in the sky next to EK, but for different reasons. And easily obtained with AA miles - the availability will now obvously dry up even further, assuming the 380 even remains in the Etihad fleet.
