Rouge 763 on YYZ-YYC in June

Just got an itinerary change. A YYZ-YYC leg in P was changed to a Premium Rouge one on a 763. I hate the 763 Rouge, even in front. Tried it once and my thought was, never again. But eh, never say never.
I wonder if this will be a good enough reason to make a free change... Perhaps to the previous day?

You got downgraded from a pod to a non-pod. Is this a part of an international itinerary or a purely domestic one?

This is part of an international itinerary. However the original YYZ-YYC flight was a 319/320/321, not a 763.

I still recall AC clearly stating that rouge would serve holiday destinations only ... it was not going to replace mainline service on domestic or transborder routes.

Enjoy that big pay raise, Calin.

This is clearly part of the Max recovery plan. But yes, it was Calin who went and bought the lemon.

I think chances are good that domestic Rouge stays even after 737 MAX planes are allowed to fly again. The MAX grounding just accelerated the Rouging.

Assume you have a new flight number and that your original flight was cancelled? If so it should be fairly easy to switch to another flight.

You may find that switching to a different day doesn't get you off Rouge.

It's not just the West, just ask the folks at YQM and YYT.

I know it's related to the Max situation, but point being, we have rouge on domestic and transborder routes regardless, and we had them before the Max grounding. YYT82 is probably right, this will just accelerate the eventual rouging of ALL routes.

It does. And yes, I did check before I posted. Plus, I would be happy coming back a day earlier...

Saw a Rouge 763 on YVR-YYZ in the mix in June as well so the pain is being shared around the network!!
