Discrepancy Award Business (I) availability between Aeroplan and Expertflyer

I am checking for Award Business Class availability (I Class) and looking to confirm that before I transfer any of my Amex points to Aeroplan. I can see 3 seats when I search on Aeroplan but 0 when I look to confirm that on Expertflyer or on united.com. Is this a case of Aeroplan showing phantom availability or a feature of the program where it reserves some seats for its own members?

I primarily use Mileage Plus for all my *A needs since I also have status in United. Since I don't really accumulate Aeroplan points, I don't want my Amex MR points getting stuck in Aeroplan if I cannot immediately use them to ticket.

Advice, insights appreciated!

What airline?

Aeroplan has more access to space on AC flights than other partners, and EF shows what the partners see.

Can you give us the routing? It could be married segments such that say YOW - YYZ has I2, but YOW - YYZ - YVR has I0, I0.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I was looking for the DEL-YYZ flight on AC. Both UA and EF are not showing availability in the I fare bucket. But Aeroplan is showing 3. I'd like to know if the space is actually there before I transfer my Amex points.

What date? Anyone with enough points can definitely tell you whether it's phantom.

But I've only experienced phantom AC space on Aeroplan once. I can almost guarantee it's good.

July 9th.

Does Aeroplan hold back inventory for its own members? UA does that but only for members having status or holding the Chase card.

Thanks for posting this. I always thought that all Aeroplan flights were available to partners and that they used Market fares to open up extra award seats to Aeroplan members. I guess that's not the case.
Even some flights in Y aren't showing on United
For example, CDG-YYZ 3 Y seats July 5 show on Aeroplan but not on United.

Yes, that is exactly what I thought as well which is why I was very confused when the same inventory didn't appear on EF and United.
