INOP IFE
Have a flight this afternoon and just received an email with a link below. First time I've received one of these, but I guess adds to the pile of issues I've had the last 12 months. Mostly with broken and INOP seats in J, so this just adds to the experience I guess. LOL. Anyone else ever received one of these emails?

By advising customers in advance, it is possible they remove their liability of someone boarding, finding their IFE isn't working and asking for the "white form". Responsibility to entertain oneself is now on the pax and not AC.

I had one of those in 2013 on LAX-YVR.
It came late enough (middle of the night for the first departure of the day) that I doubt anyone was able to do anything useful to prepare themselves.

I've gotten the link too, but it was for a YHZ-YUL flight, so I did not do anything or bother looking for a discount code. I was more annoyed there was enough turbulence that they did not get to dispensing the snack.

Maybe we should all just reconsider AC as a low-cost carrier since that seems to be their focus. At least in J.

Non-functional IFE, non-functional seats, it makes me wonder how little of their much advertised "end-to-end premium travel experience" AC feels they can provide without any form of compensation, proactive or otherwise.
