Rookie eupgrade question
It's been a few years since I've had the chance to use eupgrades so I can't quite remember how it works. When I log in it says I need to wait the 8 days (which I understand) but then under the 'credits' category it says 'not eligible for upgrade'. I feel like when I logged in a week ago to double check it told me how many credits I needed.
I booked under standard G and I'm 35K so I should be able to upgrade. Any ideas why it might be saying that?

There is however a tool on the eupgrade site that let's you find out how many credits it will take for your upgrade.

I also want to warn you that if you're on an even remotely popular route your chances are unlikely given your status and fare class purchased. I'm not trying to burst bubbles, just wanting you to set your expectations low to avoid disappointment.

Thanks I couldn't remember if it only showed it during the window. And yes I'm aware my bubble might be burst but I'm holding on to a small little sliver of hope. It's a YVR to YYZ red eye flight on a Friday. Slim chance I know.

I've never missed that upgrade, and I've flown the Friday red-eye as every level from E35K through SE.

In my experience it doesn't tell you the number of required credits until you're inside the window of availability.

Not wishing to hijack this thread -- and I really thought I understood the requirements for upgrading a latitude ticket to BIZ. I see a number of flights in April (AC880 YYZCDG specifically) where Z>0, P=0, and R>0, which leads me to think I am missing something. Example: 880 on April 9: J9 C9 D9 Z9 P0 R5. Does the R availability mean that this upgradeable (at time of purchase) from a lat (B) ticket although P=0? So, nerd-wise should the upgrade condition be max(P,R) >1 ?
Or am I missing something painfully obvious? I did do a search, honest ...

Looking at BIZ prices around early-mid April,it is very striking that "cheap" is certainly a relative term ...

Just a note, I didn’t check EF, my post was a for example
For van90, EF shows actual amounts AC will sell. 9 is the highest number, if AC is selling 9 seats across all J fares including the lower ones good odds it’s open and R5 would indicate they expect to not fill it so are allowing upgrades.
Believe EF also has a more accurate seat map? But even that won’t show those who bought a ticket and didn’t pick a seat. Which is very common.

New 25k eupgrade question
Greetings,
Like the OP I am very new to the eupgrade process. I made status (not sure how since I was short ~6k...) however here I am. I have a YVR-YYZ and return booked on Flex fare (S). Depart YYZ at 12PM, returns from YYZ at 2:50PM so AC114/115 combo.
I am wondering if I have a snowball's chance at an upgrade on either? I know I am so low on the status pole...
Expertflyer says R0 for both for first. Theres R6 in premium economy.
Trying to decide if I should chance an eupgrade at airport via waitlist or just bid on a first class seat or do instant upgrade if available at checkin.
Any advice from the seasoned folks appreciated..
