As suggested by @canadiancow and encouraged by @yyznomad to start this thread......

Also, this score is only as of today.

But do you have a banked year? If not, you're in the wrong thread :p

lol- yes, right thread!

Made it by the skin of my teeth on miles and before Dec 31. This will be my 19th year I think as SE although I was a CP Plus Guy for a few years. I am aiming for the 2 MM mark and then relaxing.

This thread is not for people who have qualified for this year, or next year, but the year after.

Nothing you did last year would give you 21/22 qualification.

Hit the AQM, but not the AQD yet-- the AQD will take another couple of months.

Seat13F_AC_CRJ Feb 21, 2019 6:54 am

Wow. Everyone in my circle thinks I travel a lot. Even I think I travel a lot. But I am only at 51k AQM so far this year.

Dont worry- it includes a 40K AQM in roll-over for hitting 200K last year. Plus have a banked SE year for hitting 250K.

Ugh, mods please delete. Wrong thread. :)

24left Jul 21, 2019 8:32 pm

I was encouraged to start this thread as noted in my OP.

My understanding is, it is for those of use who earned the SE banked year in 2018 (and those who also may earn it in 2019). Since I assume that group of us also earned our SE status for 2019 from our 2018 AQD/AQS/AQM, then I wonder if we should rename this thread, since some of us are posting 2019 AQD/AQS/AQM in this other thread:

https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/air-...on-here-6.html

Should we have a specific thread for SE Banked Year with a clear title?

Thoughts?
.

WaytoomuchEurope Jul 21, 2019 10:19 pm

I'm so darn confused.

Do I post here if/ when I cross 250k?

I always get the years confused.

We can have a nicely formatted wiki, but I don't know why there isn't a single "status X happened" thread.

Oh, thanks for offering to set up the wiki :D

I'm not a fan of combo year thread titles as we now have this sort-of-concurrent set of threads. While we all know the benefit year goes until the end of February, thus 2021/22 kind of thing, it's still messy IMO.

Perhaps a separate and dedicated thread specifically for 250K SE Banked Year and the columns could include year earned and when it will be used, or leave that blank as we many not know until the end of this year. Some people may use the banked year they earned in 2018 as soon as 2019 for example, thus SE until end of Feb 2020.

canadiancow Jul 22, 2019 9:40 am

Yeah it will get too messy as time goes on. Right now it's possible to qualify for 20/21, 21/22, and 22/23. Next year there will be 4 possibilities.

I don't think we want that many threads running.

canadiancow Aug 9, 2019 10:42 am

Well here we go. I qualified for 21/22.

Given the EYW announcement, I have a strong suspicion I'll hit 22/23 by EOY.

What if the thread was called "Super Elite S100K qualification near Winnipeg"?

Plumber Oct 9, 2019 5:39 am

My flight yesterday took me over the qualification for 2022/2023 SE status.... SE now locked down until March 2023.

Given the comments upthread, did not feel the need to start a new "Post your Super Elite S100K 2022/23 Benefit Year Qualification/Requalification Here!", so am posting here instead.

Mine was a week earlier. Unusually early by my standards, especially given that I still have a couple of round trips to Europe planned (and already purchased) for this year.

Welcome to posting on FT! :)

291K is a lot. Where do you think you'll end the year?

I'm always glad to see posts like this. I hate being in the top 1% of travelers (just an assumption) but it makes me feel better when I remember the people in the top .01%. I cannot imagine the misery. Godspeed.

Do you have two years of banked SE? Ie SE guaranteed until Feb 2023?

123 segments? Yowza!

That's hard core.

Is it just me or are the decimal places and commas in that screenshot misaligned?

My mileage doesn't qualify for this discussion, but as a point of interest the commas and decimals are all messed up on my dashboard also.

Too incompetent to include screenshot, but I just made it on segments. Thanks, EYW!

AC needs to consider AQDs as a spend only threshold for SE100K, both UA and AA are doing it already. I'm @ $20K spend but only 56K AQMs....

If they were to match UA/AA, you'd need 32k CAD, so you're not even 2/3 of the way there. What are you really hoping for?

talkeryxu Dec 11, 2019 11:23 am

Still waiting for a YXU to YUL flight to post, for a whopping two segments, but I'm okay with this considering I started the year as 35K and didn't ever expect to crack SE.

20K is CAD, that's the SE spend qual for AC (who cares what it is in USD FX rates), they should adopt similar model for AA/UA, increase the threshold for spend only qualification, again, you pay relative to current market value, and that's in CDN currency. That's what I'm hoping for, not a direct dollar-to-dollar comparison. So say bump it to $24K CAD, get my drift?

You're @ a 1.6FX rate....hope you're not being ripped off by your credit card

I plugged 24k USD into Google and rounded to the nearest thousand. Call it 31 if it makes you happier. It's irrelevant.

UA went from 15k USD (roughly 20k CAD) plus 100k QM (i.e. same as AC) to 24k USD (roughly 32k CAD). So if AC adopted a similar model, the spend requirement would be over 30k, and you would still not be SE.

Anyone else has the option to chose the 2020 SE select privileges posted on their dashboard today?
