A simple nudge that I misread it rather than a personal attack (Adam) woulod have sufficed.

Currently ac.com isn't showing AC738 or AC760... both of which last operated in October 2018 (both using 320s)
Here is what ac.com is offering around the December 24 timeframe, with respect to the routes YYZ/YUL and SFO with 7M8s:
AC761 YULSFO 0830 1147 7M8
AC781 YULSFO 1710 2051 7M8
AC780 SFOYUL 0800 1626 7M8
AC737 YYZSFO 0800 1039 788
AC757 YYZSFO 1325 1600 7M8
AC753 YYZSFO 1620 1915 320
AC739 YYZSFO 1830 2109 788
AC759 YYZSFO 2050 2328 7M8
AC758 SFOYYZ 0730 1532 320
AC756 SFOYYZ 1235 2040 7M8
AC750 SFOYYZ 1655 0058+1 7M8
AC754 SFOYYZ 2240 0628+1 788
And something interesting... on the Flight Schedules page of ac.com
It shows 758, 756, 742, and 754 for December 24... but with 756 still showing as a 788:
The current timetable is effective to May 12, 2019... and the next timetable won't include December.
So things will probably and can change between now and then. We have seen other threads here where there are seemingly unusual changes far in advance, and then change even more until the relevant timetable is published.

Yup I saw that. The departure time is different too. Just going to wait it out since there's a lot of inconsistencies going on. I guess this is what I get for booking so far out, although I must say I've never had my flight completely disappear on me before.

Since you were moved to a different flight, wouldn't you be entitled to change his booking free of charge under a "schedule change"? If you don't mind a connection you could always switch to SFO-LAX(UA)-YYZ: AC 792 and 788 are both scheduled as 787s (as of now).

Oops. I misread OP and thought this was just an equipment change. I overlooked the change to a different flight. Don’t ignore what I posted, but Adam Smith is right.
I agree with the advice to wait a bit and see how it shakes out.
OP, a couple of further thoughts, in case this doesn't go back to being a 787:
OP, a couple of further thoughts, in case this doesn't go back to being a 787:
- Your original flight has been cancelled and replaced with a new one with a different flight number. Practically, this should allow you to call Aeroplan and indicate that your flight has been cancelled and the re-booked flight is not acceptable, so you want a full refund. No need to delve in to details about why you're unhappy with the new flight and no need to worry even if the new flight is at exactly the same time as the previous flight. Historically, a cancellation like this has been essentially carte blanche to cancel/change.
