If 1 eUp is worth $260 then I'm richer than I thought.

This seems strange to me.

5 credits -> 4 credits = $260/credit
5 credits -> 2 credits = $127/credit

This was around for quite a while on Flex, although I confess it has been ages since I tried to use it.

I book through the Air Canada for Business site, and they have listed the different upfares to use fewer e-upgrade credits for some time.
So far, it has not been worth "saving" the e-upgrade credits based on the upfare fees.

Yeah I've seen this before, it's been around a while. I used it back at least as far as 2017 (possibly 2016) to see if it was worth calling AC to upfare from low to high flex.

Back in the good old days when we didn't have branded fares.

The quality of a Flex fare is being watered down with these new Comfort fares. AC is definitely cracking down on eUpgrades. Years ago you were allowed a nominee for E50K, and this is when they were not even travelling on the same reservation! Now, this is only an SE100K privilege.

It is if your next flight is to Asia and you are 1 credit short in upgrading that flight.

Thanks for the alternate viewpoint. Hadn't thought of that and have never been in that situation but I can certainly see the value in that instance.

What's more interesting is the for two credits, the difference between Flex and comfort is only $27.

If only that was an option

Except it will go from a $2,500 ticket to a $4,500 when you go TPACs (in my experience)
