It's probably a cross-marketing scheme with Roots; the teaser clearly mentioned sweatpants and nothing about pyjamas (much to the relief of Bohemians everywhere).

At best, like slippers, only on routes to Asia, where some competitors offer pijamas?

Qantas PJs are chic AF. (at least, to the extent airline PJs can be) They are the only ones I've taken off the plane.

To each his/her own I guess.
yoga pants are apparently business casual so why not PJs on a plane.

Considering I live in what was once (and maybe still is) very high on worst dressed city list, I get your point.

So...it's supposed to be International Sweatpants Day on January 21. Who knew there was such a day?!?
At best, it'll just be PJ bottoms. But I stick by my guess that it's a promo code of some kind.

I guess one positive is that the PJs will provide an extra layer of padding against the aerial park benches.
Speaking as someone familiar with British slang ... I had to google this.

Adding slippers would round this out nicely. Providing them doesn’t mean one has to use them.
