Prepaid Meals in Y

There's an option to pre-pay for the meal voucher for $7.95 (meal + snack, or snack + booze) each direction....

We booked this for our flights down to Montego Bay (connecting via YYZ) , and the PR07 shows on our passes for both flights, but that seems to be overly generous by AC. Even called in to reservations to ask curiously and they said it's covered on both segments!

Curious how many of you have done this for multi-segment flights and whether AC covered you on each segment? Seems too good to be true! LOL

With Comfort fares, a few of us certainly took advantage of the free drinks.

One fare, four segments, four free drinks. Well worth the extra $15 for Comfort

Similarly, $50 lounge access gets you lounges at connection points. Which almost pays for itself if the alternative is >=2 airport meals.

I'm not sure I agree with that. Even a $15 airport meal is going to beat any North American MLL for food outside of maybe YVR/YUL/YYC during meal hours.

It's great for a snack, but if my goal is a meal, I'm going to a restaurant, not YYZ dom.

I think s/he meant in the "paying for itself" vein, and not necessarily quality.

He did.

But really want I meant was "could suck back enough Moose Green in LAX to deal with the red eye, and then enough powered eggs in YYZ to deal with the Green before further points east"

Not quite the same as your situation, but when I used the Air Canada Bistro voucher (received as part of Altitude benefit), and flew multiple segments in Y, the voucher covered all segments.

I totally forgot I have a bunch of those bistro vouchers too. Can they only be used at time of booking, or can I utilize them afterwards to get something on the flight?

Edit: Never mind, did a search and realized there are already a couple of threads with the answer to this. ("No.")

The sad thing is it's almost never worth using PR07 over a 15% discount.

Can anyone explain how I use these Altitude vouchers? I can only find a purchase option when I make the booking, and the only non-credit card payment box is for a gift card and PIN. There's no place to enter the Altitude code.

Thanks. And how are we supposed to have known that? Promo codes imply discount promos. It would be nice if they provided this little detail on the drop down where we find these codes on the Altitude site!
