This new annual thread has been carved out of the previous thread in an effort to reduce the number of megathreads on the AC forum. For those interested previous versions are the original 2004 - 2014 thread , 2015 edition, 2016 edition , 2017 edition and 2018 edition.
The original thread started by accident but quickly became a popular place to come and discuss off topic things such as hockey, new movies, or almost anything that wouldn't fit into existing AC forum threads. Air Canada or Aeroplan topics such as flight feedback, in-flight services issues, status or mileage earning/redemption are all topics that should go into existing AC forum threads so others can benefit from this information. Topics about hotels or airlines and/or their loyalty programs, destinations, in-flight travel tech. or anything best discussed elsewhere on FT may be relocated to that forum as this thread isn't meant to import travel topics to this forum that are better discussed on other forums. FT is an amazingly diverse and large community so members are encouraged to seek out all of its resources.
While the conversation is more relaxed as it would be in a lounge that doesn't mean however that the FT rules don't apply here as they definitely do so please refrain from controversial topics such as politics or religion, avoid profanities and treat other lounge patrons with the same respect you expect.

Glad to see Gurriel Jr. back to his former self and Vlady Jr. seems to be hanging in there.

I was just researching how branded fares credit within UA MP (to determine if I should pay extra for Flex on an upcoming domestic AC booking) and unsurprisingly, I found precisely the information I needed on FT. This is a great community.

I think Stroman has been ok considering the lack of run support in most of his starts... and Sanchez's blister issues continue to resurface and most likely a contributing factor (i.e. nagging but not always debilitating enough to prevent a start) to his crappiness as of late.

Gasol re-signing with Rap to me increases the likelihood Kawhi resigns as well. ^

Just got back from my eldest's high school graduation. A much better ceremony than mine back in the dark ages. It helps that she was in a class of 30 instead of my 300.

It was one of those 12-year-long contacts heavily front-end loaded that the league has effectively outlawed as had he kept playing the Canucks would've only had to pay $1.6M this season before it dropped to 1 million in each of the last 2 years of the deal but since he retired now it's just over $3M cap hit for the last 3 years of the contact. Broadeur played until he was 42 I think so Bobby Lu could've had another 1-2 years as the wily back-up goaltender but opted out now rather than go that route.

Anyone know what’s going on at YYZ right now? Looks like all the aircrafts are using RWY05 for take off. I was near Humber College and every 45 seconds or so there was an aircraft flying over.

Could it be this? Summer runway alternation program.

Not sure what the purpose really is, but having an aircraft flying by every 45 seconds definitely makes the noise much worse. And having so many aircrafts taxing all around the airport and/or flying all around the airport means burning more fuel.
