Hotel Options:
Most hotels from mainstream chains (Marriott/Starwood, Hilton, Fairmont) are located in or close to the Old Quebec neighbourhood which is about 7-8 km from the venue. ALT and Plaza Québec on the list below are the two hotels closest to the pre-dinner event and dinner and are within walking distance.
Marriott:
The Courtyard Quebec City is further out of the Old city while the other 2 are well located. The Marriott Downtown is in a great location to walk around the Old city, so is the Delta but the Delta has less charm.
Starwood:
PUR - Located in St-Roch neighbourhood, a vibrant area of the city.
The FourPoints Sheraton is in Levis, across the St-Lawrence river, which would mean quite a ride from the venue (about 20 km). Not recommended because of location/distance.
Hilton:
The Hilton is well located, close to the Old city. Older hotel but may have been refurbished not too long ago.
The Hampton Inn is also in Levis across the river. Not recommended because of location
Fairmont:
Fairmont Chateau Frontenac is located in the heart of Old Quebec.
Boutique or other hotels (part of smaller chains):
ALT https://www.althotels.com/en/quebec/
Plaza Québec by Jaro https://www.hotelsjaro.com/plaza-quebec/en/
Palace Royal by Jaro https://www.hotelsjaro.com/palace-royal/en/

Finally back home, I also want to add my thanks to everyone who made this weekend come together.
I know I missed out on a lot of it, but the parts I managed to attend were quite fun.

It is so amazing to read all your nice comments! I personally had a blast planning this and am grateful to have met so many interesting and talented people from all over the place. The life of a frequent traveller can sometimes feel a bit lonely but FT brings us together. It is so cool to be able to share experiences either online or in person like we did last Saturday!

It was nice to meet you all at YQB.
Sunday 24th we had a family reunion at "Le Commandant" resto close to YQB airport for an airport brunch with one attendant having built his own plane.
Afternoon we drove to YUL where I boarded TK36 leaving YUL at 23.00 to IST and continuing to BRU later monday night.
Finally rested a bit and flying TK again saturday 29 sept to IST again and BKK.
Will be *A gold by 30 sept, might be useful.
Hope y'all enjoyed the Belgian chocolates....

Congratulations on the successful Mileage run and your status!
It was really great to meet you and tartempionette and to hear about your adventures. Plus you came from BKK via IST and BRU and YUL and brought those yum Belgian chocolates. I wasn't the only person who had more than one.
Thanks for coming and helping to make this a fantastic YQB Do !

This is a special thank you to my fellow and most gracious co-hosts in YQB @jasdou @Yhztraveller @DNAwizard and @NordsFan for being awesome and making our recent 1st ever YQB FT Do and outstanding success.
I really appreciated your warm welcome during my first visit at the end of July, and all of your efforts on my behalf.
At the Do, you all made sure that all wandering FTers were located at the Chutes Montmorency. You drove many of us to and from the daytime events, and then we then had wines and a fun lunch at the Vignoble Ste-Pétronille.
We had a great pre-Do with drinks and nibbles, and gifts for all, then dinner and then a nice recap at the post-do. Some attended an after-party, a few of us had the Smartie Party on AC 1795 and then 6 of us met up in the YYZ Dom MLL on arrival.
We had a most interesting groups of FTers, many of whom who had never previously met, plus a nice opportunity to see friends and familiar faces.
You guys are awesome and I would be honoured to help with and attend another Do one day in YQB.
Thanks so much!
Some a additional photos from the weekend. Enjoy
24left and jasdou get some breakfast at Chocolat Favoris after 24left's arrival on rouge. In Y.
Shopping done and some of items for the pre-Do
On our way to the Chutes Montmorency
Gorgeous day
Beautiful
At the winery
Lunch menu
Some of the items chosen, including different poutine dishes
At the venue of the pre-Do
Ah, the gifts
The sun sets, the moon appears
I had the salmon
And a number of FTers had this dessert

Thank you all so much for a super event.
Took 10 flights in 30 days to get this all done and needed 10 days to recover.
55555 as we say in Thailand, 5 being ha, thus hahahahaha.
Happily home again and it's school holidays this month of October, going to a beach resort at Cha Am next week with the 7 year young daughter for 10 nights and lots of swimming.

Very nice catching up with Yhztraveller and DNAwizard yesterday evening in the SOC ("social operations control") of the Sept 2018 YQB Do.
Somebody had to finish off the last of the beer and wine left over from 22SEPT.
