Hotel Options:
Most hotels from mainstream chains (Marriott/Starwood, Hilton, Fairmont) are located in or close to the Old Quebec neighbourhood which is about 7-8 km from the venue. ALT and Plaza Québec on the list below are the two hotels closest to the pre-dinner event and dinner and are within walking distance.
Marriott:
The Courtyard Quebec City is further out of the Old city while the other 2 are well located. The Marriott Downtown is in a great location to walk around the Old city, so is the Delta but the Delta has less charm.
Starwood:
PUR - Located in St-Roch neighbourhood, a vibrant area of the city.
The FourPoints Sheraton is in Levis, across the St-Lawrence river, which would mean quite a ride from the venue (about 20 km). Not recommended because of location/distance.
Hilton:
The Hilton is well located, close to the Old city. Older hotel but may have been refurbished not too long ago.
The Hampton Inn is also in Levis across the river. Not recommended because of location
Fairmont:
Fairmont Chateau Frontenac is located in the heart of Old Quebec.
Boutique or other hotels (part of smaller chains):
ALT https://www.althotels.com/en/quebec/
Plaza Québec by Jaro https://www.hotelsjaro.com/plaza-quebec/en/
Palace Royal by Jaro https://www.hotelsjaro.com/palace-royal/en/

We have the pre/post Do location reserved for the entire evening, but we are not able to lock the doors while we are at the Do. I suspect that your bottles would be safe there (unless you are buying JW Blue!), but you could bring them with you to the Paris Grill, or leave them in someone's car.

One week before the event! Paging waitlisted passengers @SparseFlyer, @SparseFlyerette, @Plumber, @RCyyz and @Argonaut1000! Please report to the Wiki to confirm or not your attendance!
There won't! A welcome drink will be offered by the hosts and water will be available. Other vices for the pre- and post-Do must be supplied by the attendees themselves!

Can I drive? There's Uber in YQB? (I just think of all of Canada as lacking Uber in every practical sense)
Looking forward to my J-pod with angel's share... I'll pay for what I consume, but I do expect 50 Aeroplan points... Some of you know what I actually call "J Class"...
Hotel suggestions? Is it safe to sleep on the streets somewhere?
You will be fine. Maybe I can rig you a lie-flat ghetto-J seat in the trunk of my car? Then we could call you TrunkCargo.
We will drive back to Plaza Quebec before the Pre-Do/Do/Post-Do. Worst case, you can leave stuff in my car. But if you do that, I would recommend making sure to take out TrunkCargo first. Otherwise you may come back and find your bottles empty.

There are various chairs in the lobby area. There is a pool past those chairs and set of doors. And there is a bar to the immediate right when you walk in the front door. I'm sure they have a room for you.

There is Uber in YQB but the geographical coverage is pretty limited to the heart of the city. You can take it from the airport to the Do, no problem. Also, probably from Plaza Quebec all the way to the Chutes Montmorency, but definitely not to the vineyard.

Update: the chocolates made it unmelted to YUL.
We ate a few to ensure they are tasty.
Don’t worry we lef some for the YQB Do.
Had to put the remaining chocolates into the fridge because it’s hot today in YUL.

Great news, looking forward to seeing you again. Been a while
Be awesome if you join us on AC 1795. I promise to behave in Y-steerage. Can't speak for the others.
