Hotel Options:
Most hotels from mainstream chains (Marriott/Starwood, Hilton, Fairmont) are located in or close to the Old Quebec neighbourhood which is about 7-8 km from the venue. ALT and Plaza Québec on the list below are the two hotels closest to the pre-dinner event and dinner and are within walking distance.
Marriott:
The Courtyard Quebec City is further out of the Old city while the other 2 are well located. The Marriott Downtown is in a great location to walk around the Old city, so is the Delta but the Delta has less charm.
Starwood:
PUR - Located in St-Roch neighbourhood, a vibrant area of the city.
The FourPoints Sheraton is in Levis, across the St-Lawrence river, which would mean quite a ride from the venue (about 20 km). Not recommended because of location/distance.
Hilton:
The Hilton is well located, close to the Old city. Older hotel but may have been refurbished not too long ago.
The Hampton Inn is also in Levis across the river. Not recommended because of location
Fairmont:
Fairmont Chateau Frontenac is located in the heart of Old Quebec.
Boutique or other hotels (part of smaller chains):
ALT https://www.althotels.com/en/quebec/
Plaza Québec by Jaro https://www.hotelsjaro.com/plaza-quebec/en/
Palace Royal by Jaro https://www.hotelsjaro.com/palace-royal/en/

A bit of housekeeping of the Wiki to keep things clear. Can I ask that those who confirmed upthread that they will attend the main event (@Dolphin2, @SparseFlyer, @MasterGeek...) to please update the wiki accordingly so we can keep track of the number of attendees? If I am forgetting anyone, please feel free to edit the Wiki to confirm your presence.
Also, @DrunkCargo, I see you both in the Stand-by and Confirmed list. Can you please update?
I will also be happy to put together a proposal of pre-Do activities if people arrive on the evening before or the morning of the Do.

I want to point out that this:
is against FT rules.
https://www.flyertalk.com/help/rules.php#gatherings
"Members may not be excluded from events announced on FlyerTalk based on factors such as gender, age, number of posts or location."
These things must be all-inclusive.
Though I find the "age" factor amusing. I'm pretty sure we've had a few events that wouldn't have allowed 9yroldsuperelite.
Also, I'm adding to the wiki that I'm arriving (late) Friday night.
Fine Print:
EXCLUSIVELY for those who have been FT members for 3 or more months

I'm tempted to book the Plaza Québec, but I can't tell if it's refundable.
Are others planning to stay near the venue, or in the big chain hotels? I'm holding a room at the PUR right now.

Personally, I would do an in and out same day so no hotels...
But who knows how this could end really, and YQB isn't the most expensive place to begin with so not super worried.

Edit: Ok, fixed. Fully confirmed now. Thinking about it, it's more true to form to "confirm" then reneg for me. =P
