Lounge eligibility on non-J cabin leg

Hi flight is YOW-YUL-PEK-SYD booked in J, first leg Air Canada remaining legs Star Alliance.

The AC leg is a Q400 so no J cabin, will I still be able to use the YOW lounge?

Thanks.

You should be able to. Just show them your YUL-PEK BP.

We had access and even after an overnight connection. The check in agent told us to show the previous day J class boarding pass.
Now was it worth going into the MLL during the morning?... Hmm... jury is still out on that.

LOL They didn't even have those. All they offered was yogurt, oatmeal, toast, bananas. I admit this was in domestic but still....
