Omg what do you guys buy???
I wonder: could you buy a gift card to get 5x miles, then digitally redeem them for your original purchase via the eStore link to double dip and another 5x miles? Seems too good to be true

Amazon prime day:
earn 5X the miles! Shop millions of everyday items at Amazon.ca while earning more miles via the Aeroplan eStore. Offer ends July 18
I put my items in the cart yesterday. I didn't get any real special deals but I was going to buy those things anyway. Now I got 5x the aeroplan miles.
Be warned the Amazon site is crashing a lot today.

I'm still waiting for miles to post for items I bought through the Aeroplan e-store at Amazon 6 weeks ago and also on prime day 3 weeks ago.
It says I have to wait two months before sending a claim.

Hi everyone,
Just noticed that the Amazon icon in the Aeroplan e-store now says "category exclusions apply." Upon reading the terms and conditions, looks like they've excluded what are probably the most popular categories. This will definitely negatively affect earning from Amazon purchases moving forward.

You know what sucks? Finding something out way too late.
We spend $1000 a month minimum on amazon.
I literally didn't know I could have been earning miles. And now I find out it's not really possible anymore.
I am such an idiot.

How would one interpret what item adheres to a particular category, too? Maybe an item fits better under "X" - rather than "Y". Glad I bought my laptop a few weeks back. Earned 8K, including the Diamond 3x benefit.

Doubt this is Aeroplan and most likely from Amazon. They have some pretty messed up commission rules for their affiliate channel (which the Amazon e-store uses to fund points). Best thing you can do is swtich to shop at Rakuten in the meantime for cashback and hopefully they will freak out about the loss in sales and Amazon will reinstate the rules.
Still ...... as I used them mainly for Amazon too :/
