Count me among those who went out of my way to fill up at Esso because of the points. In these parts, all gas stations are priced the same. This was a differentiator. What station will now have the loyalty program with the highest return?

I don't bother. I just fill the car till the pump stops.
PS-never put $90 bucks in my car ever --I suppose you get the additional benefits of more AE miles in your neck of the woods with your sky high Lower Mainland prices perhaps?

I'll just continue filling up at Irving. It is the only station in town. I'll get an air mile and 2% cash back.

For those non-residents Home Harware might be an option. $2 gets an Aeropeso and my local store sells candy.

Well, I guess I won't have to carry my AP card in my wallet anymore since Esso was the only place I ever used it. I feel lighter already

I'll still fill up at Esso since it's a nickel cheaper than other non-Costco GTA retailers.

Guess I will need to read up on the Esso Extra program before bedtime tonight!

Aeropesos grow less and less attractive with each passing day.

Interesting as I already collect PC Optimum on gas purchases at former Superstore gas bars that've re-branded recently into Mobil outlets, at least the one nearest me and can't say for all.

I collected Esso points and used them for car washes. I found more value that way than Aeroplan miles.

Same here. Collecting Esso Extra points and using them towards car washes is the best value IMO. Haven't paid for a gas station car wash in years!
