System outages of this nature are par for the course with airlines unfortunately. Both DL and UA had some massive ones last year, with much more impact than this one at AC. Sabre and Amadeus also had big outages last year.

The good thing is AC is moving to Amadeus. The bad thing is when Amadeus has an outage, AC will be affected along with all other Amadeus airlines.

You could request compensation depending on how long you are delayed under a ‘controllable delay’ condition.

Second pro tip: dont trust your departure time, which unfortunately means go to the airport. I have had 3 different (and different by more than 1 hour) departure times for one flight in the last 20 minutes. On time would have been a departure in about 4 hours.

Update: the app shows a flight time that agrees with the 2nd of 3 flights times that I was texted. None of those flight times are remotely possible if I believe the "track inbound plane" data in the app because it shows the inbound arriving after the departure of my flight. Fun times. Glad I don't work in the scheduling department today.

Was able to check in for this evening but boarding pass generation (electronic / app and print) are still not working.

However, my 1am arrival (requiring the indulgence of the Mr. to pick up) is now 90 minutes later. Ugh.

And the indignity of two hours at the gate after the 3rd party lounge closes, too!!

Must just be an east coast thing, because I still cannot login. The airplane just keeps going around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around and around...........

Update: when I opened a new tab and went to the AC site I was logged I managed to get flights booked, although the flights I wanted were no longer available.....
