At YVR there is a MLL for US-departing flights. It's fine but nothing special. Opens very early so even if you're on one of the 6am flights back to LAX it will be open.

Unless you're at LAX very early, I would not venture to TBIT. It's quite a walk. If you have hours to kill, it's worth it. I'm not sure I'd make the trek with under 90-120 minutes though. It's easily 15 minutes each way at a brisk walking pace.

You’re totally right tho... 15 minutes each way at a constant brisk pace.

And. How does baggage work with AC??
How do I tell them I am Star Alliance Gold (to get my baggage cost decreased ) and Pay for Checked Baggage Online?
Or will I have to do that all in person on the day?
Easier to just go to Premium Check In and let them sort it all out?
As it says on https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/...-services.html
I get most of the AC premium services (Checkin/Lines/Boarding/Lounges etc) as I am *G?

As *G, you get all of that.
During online check-in, there is an option to add your NZ*G number. That will ensure it's in the system, and you'll have zone 2 boarding on the boarding passes.
For checked bags, just say you have 0 during online check-in. Deal with it at the counter. It doesn't always recognize status waivers in online check-in, and you're going to have to go to a counter to drop the bags anyway.
With NZ*G on your BP, you'll have no issue getting into the lounge.
